Hi!! Looks good but What butter and flour did you use for the rue? I am looking for a dairy free and gluten free version for alfredo sauce so cannot do regular butter and wheat flour. Thanks!
This could be made with no oil or butter at all, just using either nothing or water or vegan broth in place of the oil. (I have to watch that as the oil and butter was killing me by giving me heart disease.) I have lost 50 lbs. thus far (also eliminating most refined carbs and processed foods), and am AMAZED how easily I can sautee onions, mushrooms and really anything without oil (which in the end really has VERY little flavor). But otherwise your recipe looks super yummy and I hope to try it soon (with less exotic mushrooms).
I'm pretty sure it could be, not sure of the consistency it would have, but I would definitely give that a try as per oil and butter does have a lot of fat. 👍
@@the_moms_lounge I have been shocked to learn how I can cook without oil -- on stainless steel even. If a little brown stuff sticks to the bottom you just add a little water and it'll mix with the water and add to the flavor. =) I really liked this dish, but I should have made a little more sauce than I did, so tomorrow I'll make a roux added to sauteed onions. (I did add soy milk to the sauce initially but tomorrow I will just use the chick-un broth and/or my beefless broth.)

Thanks! I used Country Crock plant based avocado oil butter. Just regular flour. You could use whatever flour you prefer
