  • Experts believe there are two theories behind the boat encounters. Some believe it's revenge while others say it's all playful behavior.

Ocean life isn’t putting up with human bullshit anymore.
We have lost our ocean privileges.

Right... We have abused our privilege!! I didn't blame the animals one bit..

She has every right tbh. We've killed the coral reefs, overfished, polluted and practically *murdered* the oceans. And that's not getting into the kind of shit we put whales and dolphins through.

I know they’re experts, but I think there’s naïveté and a passion for the animal they study. Why are they only attacking one type of boat? Why playfulness only? Why not protection? If orcas can display mental health issues akin to humans, why not outright revenge?
What we knew about orcas 15 years ago has been completely flipped. It’s stupid to assume we know it all now.

I doubt it is play when they sink a boat.

Do they kill people once they are in the water?
Leave them to drown or to sharks?
Or do they actually save them?
They have a history of saving humans from such threats you know.

They have no idea what boats are. I think this is more close to knocking on a door because they want the nice bipedals on the big floating thingies to come down and play with them in the water.

You know what's funny is ,that the movie that made me love orcas was about a killer whale going on a revenge killing spree

  • @luvfunstuff2

If whales are capable of playful behavior, why would these folks just *know* that whales wouldn't have an ulterior motive for these attacks?
Aren't killer whales shown to be capable of a range of emotions? They can be happy, depressed, devastated, get moody (in captivity), held people under water till they're dead. They kill prey this way, why would they not know what they're doing? Why would they be incapable of anger or purposefully being mischievous to the point of doing others harm? 🤷‍♀️ I think they're not giving whales enough credit. Even chimpanzees have been known to be a**holes to others if they're having a bad day or in a mood. I think whales could do the same.
Maybe something has triggered them to be aggressive, to ram & bite the boats like they do with sharks that are known to be dangerous.

these two "experts" are cosplaying as scientists. no oceanologist would agree to a single word they said there. there are plenty of studies for this subject. those are just some uneducated, bored, old people with binoculars and an opinion who have no name or expirience in any scientific field. probably cbs just grabbed the first people they saw when they filmed at the water...

They are NOT whales despire their name.
Killers of whales(and Great White Sharks as well)?
      Yes.
      Killer whales?
      Umm...lol no.
They are also known as Orcas.
      And Orcas are dolphins.
And dolphins most definitely are NOT whales.
      Feel free to invastigate.🙂

@@jadrankamarkovic4059 ok, plse read "dolphins" in place of "whales" in my post. I was just trying to convey the thought that these animals, orcas, are emotional & thinking animals too. We aren't the only creatures that can be malicious, callous, vengeful and affected by mental illness or moods.
Or, they could simply be taking joy in figuring out how to sink a boat. I know kids who adore taking things apart, literally smashing things to see how they deconstruct. I think these orcas are smart and bored, or angry & vengeful, so they are dismantling and sinking boats for their own particular reason. They're not just playful idiots.

Also they save humans after a shipwreck and they even save people from drowning they also save them from sharks but that may change for the worst they may instead pull someone who is drowning under deep into the water killing them they may also eat people after they save them or while someone is drowning they just send them flying

    • @jadrankamarkovic4059
