    YESS CAR ANDREW I MISS these takes.
    Anyways my dude, because of your openness about mental health, I went and got treated for ADHD through the VA and am getting medication now and therapy starting in January. (Took awhile since my brain got put through the ringer from an IED blast)
    Already I've noticed a idk quietness? Focus? To my brain, i can actually sit through and retain information.
    In any case keep at the grind, I'm rooting for you.

    The last video on how to get better was awesome. The part about being "a pathetic sack of shit" really resonated with me the most 😂. 🤙🏼👊🏼

    This is great information. I would really appreciate an instructional where you provide a bunch of different specific movement patterns and drills we can do to chain things together to build up our ability to predict, prevent, and promote movement (Gracie principles).

    This is extremely valuable advice. At the highest levels of Marine Corps firearms training, we always strove for muscle memory (that automation). Feeling your shoulder fired weapon go dry and automatic transitioning to pistol or anything else for that matter. When the stress is one, you pistol will already be in your hand with 3 round already expended before you have to think about what happened or what to do next. Great stuff and your footage proves you have an elite execution of Jiu Jitsu. The machine like precision that gets you on someone's back with and arm trapped is impeccable.

      Absolutely agree with this, not that I can relate to firearms training, but the fact that muscle memory and brain training for maximum effect and efficiency is real. Shit even gaming from your elevation to the table, the hieght of the table your various natural gaming/seating position, and so that microsope detail you mention id imagine is parrelal in almost anything involving the extremities..

    I'm a truck driver and a blue belt so most of my time during the week is spent mentally repping and then I get to train 1-2x on the weekends. The mental reps are so important I can't stress that enough.

    I don't do bjj anymore, but I do like other smart people. There are not many out there. Not saying we would even like each or share similar values, but we have very similar methods and perspective on such which I find refreshing. Being a "data scientist" by profession as gay as that sounds, I have interviewed hundreds it not a thousand people who have all types of degrees and experience etc.. and I will say this: "Competitive athletes, especially champions, in individual sports are all very intelligent and better than any overly degreed PhD or Ivy League perosn I have ever met." This is mostly due to the fact they cannot lie. In real sports you actually have to be able to do what you say. In the "professional" world you just have to pay and participate and deferr gratification until you get your "credentials" which actually doesn't require any professional or real experience rather to have completed a very slow training process and one that doesn't even solely focus on what you will be doing or necessarily even include any real events. People would be quite surprised who really are the most intelligent. I can say one other thing.. the more schooling aka provided"facts" one endured the greater the decrease in creativity as well as the ability to think and discern for ones self. People don't know how valuable authenticity and honesty can be. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and good luck to you.

      Doctor put me on Adderall without also putting me on a mood stabilizer. Adderall helped a ton until it caused a super bad manic episode that lasted for ages. Dealt with the aftermath of that for the last four months. Now i'm in a much better spot mentally.

      @@WiltseBrothers Glad to hear it. In the future you might want to check out Lithium Orotate. It is just a 5 dollar supplement you can where ever. It comes in 5mg caps not the traditional "Lithium" prescribed that is closer to 2 grams. You can google it if you like. I feel bad this shit isn't more widely known. I originally got it to increase my control pause (breathing exercise), but it has really been invaluable. It makes you feel normal and it couples really well with Adderall XR. Good luck

    Hey Andrew, I like this carcast format though if you wanted to make it nicer for this particular TH-cam commenter then perhaps you could just not look at the screen at all. I don't think you have to look at the camera all the time if it feels weird, but maybe just behave as if you were talking to somebody in a passenger seat or something like that...

    • @robindifo4972
      @robindifo4972 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eye contact is important it would look dumb if he wasn’t looking at the screen. record ur self talking and not looking toward the camera u just look like a dumb dumb

      @@robindifo4972 sorry I think I wasn't clear - my point is that right now there's no eye contact because Andrew isn't looking at the camera. But your comment made me think that probably I see it only because I watch those videos on a big TV screen, perhaps if you watch it on a phone etc. that it looks ok.
