I've studied the interior and the exterior of this home for years. I know that this home is right across the street from the Stone Mansion. When comparing the two I concluded that the Stone Mansions 2 advantages are higher ceilings and an elevator. But this home has the better expansion on the backyard where the pool, tennis court and guest house are in their own seperate areas. I still say it's a tie between this home and the Stone Mansion. It's like Coke & Pepsi.
I absolutely love this home! My only comment is that the chandelier in the dining room is waaaay too small and looks out of proportion. Other than that, great property! Huge!
You are absolutely correct! While staging the property we were unable to find a larger chandelier and the small one was better than the lightbulb that was there previously. LOL :-)

The floor plan is a bit confusing as the garage is located beneath the garden which is at the second floor level. Also wonder what is located in the attic or is it just storage/utility areas. There also appears to be a small bldg off the back driveway not far from the pool. Def part of the estate. Thank you.

This is way better and more family friendly than acoss the street 18 Frick Drive Richard Kurtz flop that sat forever on the market since 2010 for less than four times the original cost, $110 million, I think! I love the redecoration and beautifull decor! Master genius! Yes, this is worth buying!
Compare to California bayarea i live , mansions made with alots woodworks there or around county compare to Cali , is all about stones, ,marbles & glass
For a house on that grand scale, I find some of the pieces of furniture quite ordinary and they don't add any interest to the wonderful architectural details of this house. It means that even though you have money sometimes it doesnt give you a perspective on house archtiecture and furnishings to match both.
Drive by the house often in way to work. Admired it for years. Must say, those mirror panel refrigerator doors are hideous. New fridges coming in would be first. Those are a bit older anyway. Justified. 😅
IMHO this House Needs a full blown Millennial Makeover! Way too much heavy wood paneling and Yellow and Earth Tones. Bring in the Greige and White palettes!

I love this style of home. I get what you mean, but some people love antiques and older styles in their homes, and don’t go for the constant trends. I think they updated the furniture pretty nicely. I def like the warmth of the early 2000s colors compared to the grey, black and white modern farmhouse interiors. But yes it could use some new wallpapers while keeping its classic appeal.
If I can afford a house that grand, someone else will be doing my cooking. I want the kitchen -out of sight of the main entertainment area and as far away from my guests as possible. No thanks.
