Ummm yeah I’m gonna let that guy slide I’m just gonna leave All those agencies and go train at komaki and real estate cause I could get stronger like that then working with the government, C.I.A, all the Tojo clan families Kiryu has fought except Majima and then I’d help yall which even then I’m still gonna probably get a 100 fucking knees to my forehead and then a kick to my temples like ofc the government would be scared shitless when they see Kiryu pull up I would too I’d be asking him if he can train me on my Ichiban I’m going full ichiban and become Friends with him

I think the whole point is that Kiryu doesn't want to be recognized, so only people with a criminal background or in the media knows is face, for the most part the civilians only know the name "Dojima no Ryu".

I'm gonna be the nerd here, I think it's because the zombies at that time were just calm, nothing was making them aggressive until Kiryu bumps into that one zombie and you see his eyes glowing red now.
I think the zombies remain calm until something catches their attention like loud noises or bumping into theme. I think simply walking past them is enough to just not piss them off.

I'm someone who actually like this idea of Dead Souls, not as a Yakuza game but as its own fun little Japanese zombie shooter.
But you can't deny that this is one of the most badass kiryu moments in Yakuza.

Theres a substory on Y3 where one of the hostess is having problems with loan sharks, as soon as kiryu enter his ofice he just tells the hostess she could had just told him she was kiryu girl and he would had droped the debt. By far one of the smartest guys in the games
This cutscene alone is enough proof to me that Dead Souls is the movie that Majima made in his off time.
Only one person would make Kiryu look this intimidating, powerful, respected and badass, and that man is his best buddy Goro Majima.

And for all you newcomers who don't know much about Dead Souls, yes, Kiryu does in fact fist fight the zombies in gameplay. Several times until he gets a gun.
It's kind of a big deal for him emotionally when he finally shoots and kills a zombie, because they just don't stay down no matter how much he tries with his fists.

You ever think Dead Souls might have been more well liked if it was a yakuza style zombie beatem up instead of a zombie shooter? It would have stood out more at the very least just for not being a shooter I think.

Dead Souls needs more love, the combat may be clunky but it has a lot of ridiculously awesome moments and it's just FUN.

You know, what I'd they remade this game, but like a regular yakuza game and made heat action were they actually kill the zombies. Like if he did the essence of mad dog, but instead of knocking them out, he takes the head off and send it to the fences. Also you're just constantly in combats, so if you wanted, you could just be walking and then you see a group and drop kick them instead of waiting for them to initiate.
I mean you can't kill what's already dead so this may work
Judgement has that before combat attack I believe. Also SF6 has a similar thing with teachables

Yakuza Dead Souls is a spinoff title where Tokyo succumbs to a zombie outbreak. It's non-canon. Its also only available on PS3 and notoriously hard to get one's hands on.
