The secret sauce is in the lyrics of Hafiz Hoshiarpuri and the original composition by Khan sahab Mehdi Hasan. Prithvi Gandharv & Pratibha Singh Baghel accompanied by Prashant Sonagra on Tabla and Sanjay Jaipurwale on acoustic guitar combine to do great justice to the original with some great improvisations. One can feel the warmth of the performance in this unrehearsed home mehfil rendition. A special shout out to Nandan Srinath who captured this on his phone and Rahul Vohra who suggested that we go real unplugged - no mic.
