The very first time I heard Mr. Papon, I commented saying that he is a future legend. After listening to this attempt I can comfortably say that he is well on his way to become one of the best singer in Indian music history. He almost nailed it. In future one must be cognizant of the details lies in delivering of words. Proper pronunciation (Tallaffuz) Feelings (Jazbaat) Presentation (Adayagi) Singing (Gayaki) The way he said “Mohabbat” did not meet those requirements.
I am here after listening to this song back to back in 2019-2020… then forgot about this gem for 3 years..suddenly I heard someone humming this song and I immediately came here to listen…..I am getting older and wiser and I have realised that this song can bring me to peace no matter where I am in life. Papon is going to end up in a league of his own and I am saying this as a seasoned Jagjit fan of 20 years and having listened to ghazal stalwarts of all eras and countries. He is not a composer, his urdu accent is not immaculate but all these things becomes secondary when I listen to him. I hope he gets the right guidance and chooses good ghazals and compositions.

The very first time I heard Mr. Papon, I commented saying that he is a future legend. After listening to this attempt I can comfortably say that he is well on his way to become one of the best singer in Indian music history.
He almost nailed it. In future one must be cognizant of the details lies in delivering of words.

I am here after listening to this song back to back in 2019-2020… then forgot about this gem for 3 years..suddenly I heard someone humming this song and I immediately came here to listen…..I am getting older and wiser and I have realised that this song can bring me to peace no matter where I am in life.

Papon is going to end up in a league of his own and I am saying this as a seasoned Jagjit fan of 20 years and having listened to ghazal stalwarts of all eras and countries.
He is not a composer, his urdu accent is not immaculate but all these things becomes secondary when I listen to him.
I hope he gets the right guidance and chooses good ghazals and compositions.
