Deaf Roots & Pride visits Edinburgh Zoo for Work Experience with a Deaf young person.

Edinburgh Zoo created a busy day that was just like a normal day of work at the Zoo.
Everyday jobs for the Keepers and Volunteers like; cleaning the information signs, the Goats watched us clean their area, then picking nettles from the garden to feed the Giraffes and helping train some rescued Gullahs.
They also talked about the many different jobs at the Zoo. There are around 200 people employed there and animal keepers is just one of the roles. There is also a marketing and social media team, catering staff, gardening and grounds team, community engagement and educational teams and many others.
