Luffy heard a weird roar like noise that gave him goosebumps. Bet all my fictional pirates currency that he heard Loki’s stomach and will simply free the man in order to let him eat a bowl of Oops! All Ragnaroks.
I think I could see Loki having a way with words to manipulate people or it being part of his df and convince Kidd and the Kid pirates to help him out. If Shanks is elsewhere (maybe preventing a certain black beardish fella from going somewhere), I could see it being tough for the Luffy and the Strawhats. It flips the situation in Wano to Luffy now being tag teamed. The Giants might be busy with dealing with a faction that believes in Loki.
Is it just me, or did the silhouette of Loki look like a fishman? Oda’s always played pretty fast and loose with the silhouettes, but this one seems to be the most egregious. Prove me wrong?
I have a few theories: 1. Loki could join the crew to add Giants to the races on the crew 2. Kid could have drifted to elbaf and be found by the old giants which big mom attacked. They would like Kid for getting revenge on her for them or just even have respect for his strength. And we could have this be a moment of character growth for him where he'll grow some sort of grandfatherly connection with the old giants and want to protect them/ get revenge for them if they're hurt. 3. Barto will have made a barrier ball and his crew will all be running inside it like a hamster ball to make it back to the island.

this is confirmed in an early-ish sbs i'm pretty sure, he doesnt like to waste cool characters he made. and he really liked kidd too when he designed him, so i think just ending him would be weird, especially by luffy's idol's hand.

Partly because Elbaph has been set up as Usopp's dream destination since Little Garden, partly because Usopp has strong connections with the giants, partly because of the whole David & Goliath angle... but also because the various Lokis of Norse Myths, be it Loki Laufeyson or Utgard-Loki, are _Tricksters,_ and who better to usurp the title of Trickster God than Usopp?

What if raw strength isnt what was the problem for the Giants chaining Loki up? Maybe it was more of a need for a unified agreement to do it at all? I can also see Usopp claiming a win over Loki by out tricking the trickster.
I’ve heard all the arguments that “Elbaph wasn’t planned” and I refute them all, the giants and elbaph was set up for over a Decade, Oda might pull shit with people “joining” the strawhats and other things but I won’t believe for a second he was going to skip over Elbaph and all the plot points surrounding it and the strawhats. Like Robin and Saul, you think that was a random thought last minute? Usopps whole thing? Loki and the harudin? The man marked by flames whom is probably on the island if it’s not Saul? I just don’t think Oda would ignore all of that imo.
I know this is kinda unrelated to the actual video but on the topic of Loki: I REALLY REALLY hope his “legendary devil fruit” isn’t another Zoan type, especially not a mythical zoan. I feel like we’ve had way too much of that on Wano and it’s unlikely that Oda wants to keep the Zoan theme from the beast pirates going here. I think the best option would be for it to be a logia. Big Mom focuses on paramecia, Kaido focused on Zoans, therefor it’s only natural for our next villain to be a Logia. Plus we haven’t had a good Logia introduced in a *long* time. Perhaps that’s just because Haki negates a lot of their biggest strengths…
Important to note: Shanks and his crew just left Elbaf not too long ago. I could see a situation where, by the end of Elbaf, the giants all recognize Usopp as a true brave warrior of the sea, but there's still more to his arc, in the vein of "there's someone at the next island I've got to talk to".
"This Loki situation is truly sad, can't believe someone would kill his dad for a fucking fruit, it reminds me of the time I tickled my nipple by accident while playing guitar hero. That's about it, see ya"
It would be interesting if Loki ended up being a cutty flam situation where we all assumed he’d be the antagonist but ended up being an ally and possibly a potential crew member. The only problem with him being crew is that he’s too big to be on the sunny.
i dont think he is going to join the crew, but i think there is a big chance he isnt the antagonist, at least not the main one, i think we are headed for a bait-and-switch, temporary team-up or redemption arc.
@ I’m not gonna lie, if Oda doesn’t pull something like this and he ends up just being the main antagonist, unless it’s a really good reason. I’m gonnna be disappointed.
One thing I think we should note is the significance of Norse mythology in Elbaf as well as what role Loki plays in mythology. He is commonly casted as either the hero or villain in any story- but he is commonly a villain in stories themed around the concept of Justice, like the Avengers early on. In stories wanting to express creativity and a journey to usurp, he is either the main protagonist or an ally to the protagonist. The reason for that is Loki is thought to be the harbinger of the apocalypse, any offspring he had imprisoned as a result. I’m struggling with seeing him as an antagonist to Luffy at least considering a lot of Loki’s lore signifies the breaking of justice and order.
anyone else think that the Noah could be Joyboys pirate ship? Maby that's why Blackbeard is heading to Fishman Island, perhaps there are some Sun god secrets left onboard.
I really don't know how much I buy that the Elbaph arc wasn't going to happen. Even if Oda was toying with the idea of dropping it, I just can't believe that it wasn't meant to be a part of the story at some point with all the build up that it had dating all the way back to Little Garden. So I wouldn't put too much behind that thought. I also think that people are making too many assumptions off of Loki based off of just 2 panels. The fact that he killed his father for a devil fruit power does not put him in a particularly good light. Also, I am doing well, Liam, thank you. I hope you are doing well too.
Agreed, came to leave a similar comment myself and my TL:DR is Oda would not have skipped it after set ups for it for over a decade, it’s just way to lore important for the overall story and pay off. So I refute any arguments for it being skipped based on things random “industry people” say or a small remark made by Oda that’s been over analyzed for years.
The guy had two panels of screen time and there are already people saying that he is stronger than Kaido, I understand that the guy's Aura is immaculate but I prefer to wait for him to do something before trying to draw any conclusions.
Quick we need some retroactive Big Mom Pirates reactions to Loki when he proposes to Lola to gauge his strength Pero "I will only be the third strongest son if he joins our family" Kat "he is closer to Mama in strength then I" Smoothie "Lola will become Mamas favorite after this"
I strongly believe that Loki is not a bad guy, he might be just mentally broken, but now luffy will be there for him. However, Luffy befriending Loki will upset the whole Elbaph (Strawhats usually anger the whole nation lol :P) thus creating the space for the duel of straw hats vs Red Haired pirates!
I really think Black Beard will get or already has a Kraken or Octopus Zoan fruit. Krakens and Octopi have 3 hearts and if the theory about devil fruit powers being in the heart is true, then it would be likely that Black beard ate White Beards heart to steal his devil fruit which would tie into demonic sacrifices for unnatural power. It would explain the 3 skulls and 8 bones on his jolly roger and why his beard looks like octopus legs. Each gun on his waist is to represent one for each heart, like how pirates would go for the heart. To take this a step further, his darkness fruit could also represent the black ink that krakens have. Also, Krakens supposedly "sleep in a dreamless sleep on the ocean floor" which is similar to how Black Beard doesnt actually dream because he doesnt sleep with again more darkness symbolism with reference to the ocean floor.
The only way I could think Usopp would take down Loki is like the death of Baldur in norse mythology, where Loki tricked the blind god Hodr into shooting Baldur with an arrow made of mistletoe, the only thing in existence that didn't promise Frigg to not harm Baldur. Usopp's current weapon firing plants could provide that parallel.
In norse mythology, loki is Thor's uncle, unlike the Marvel version of loki, making him Thor's brother. It's so ironic you called loki a "freaky uncle" when in norse, he indeed is freaky. An example is him giving birth to an 8 leg horse.
@@ryanbhan2708 loki isn't related to any of the gods. He was the son of 2 frost giants and was found by Odin and gradually brought into their fold. You don't call Fenrir or Jormungandr Odin's nephews despite them being Loki's children.
OK you wanted my brain thoughts, so this is on you. I recently read a comment here on YT under a video of the character theme of the character Hisako from the game Killer Instinct (2013) and it gave me an idea. I'll just quote the comment here: "So for those who don't know, a Yokai, a Japanese spirit or mythological creature in some capacity is often able to imitate the human form or our mannerisms, but they tend to have problems repeating themselves, like saying the same word twice in a row. Ever made a phone call over there and notice how they always say 'Moshi moshi'? It's to confirm if the person on the other end is a human and not someone possessed by an evil spirit or replaced by a shapeshifter. Apply this to Hisako's theme. She's an Onryo, a vengeful spirit and clearly not human anymore, but the vocals/lyrics repeat words. Despite her state of being Hisako retains her humanity in death and combines it with her otherwordly powers to chase UltraTech around for pillaging the graves in her village which she died for to defend in the first place." What does that have to do with OP? Well think about the naming scheme of Devil Fruits. And that can have some rather scary implications.
Ussop NEEDS to be the one who defeats Loki! It's been almost 25 YEARS since Little Garden forshadowed Ussop going to Elbaph and this was supposed to be Ussop's glow up arc right? Also, i see people saying Loki could become a Straw Hat member which would be cool but what about our boy/girl Yamato? Yamato needs to pull up already!

Not really when we have been seeing nearly every major side character get something in the final saga and kid is a major side character whether we like it or not
7:00 You should make a video why you think this because Usopp FEAT-WISE should be stronger than Chopper, Nami, Brook, and Franky. Im not saying you’re wrong, but i just dont understand why you would think Usopp is weaker than them
The reason I feel this is usopps moment is that he’s never defeated someone based on power alone since chew. Mr 4 and MC were with chopper. Spandam has the power of a toothpick. Perona, because he has hacks. The fish man lost from the steroids. Sugar from trauma. Page one who would’ve been a great feat, was defeated by big mom. Oda could take this the “I need to prove myself” growth arc and defeat Loki
I could see the main antagonist of this arc being either A. Man Marked by Flames B.The silhouette in the beginning telling them to come C. Urouge ( My personal dark horse of the story)
The funny thing about theorists saying “i was right” when correct and “we were wrong” when wrong is that there is an opposite phenomenon with the audience, where people try to connect themselves with victories of groups they identify with but distance themselves from their failings. The most common instance is fans with sports teams, people switch between “we won” and “they lost”. Both are routed in wanting to be associated with success and separated from failure.
I'm still all in on Loki having some sort of Nuclear Devil Fruit, which could produce a very malevolent, but ultimately sun-like effect, and lead into a "nuclear winter", aka, the Fimbulvetr preceding Ragnarok..
"the power of the Sun in my hand!(Hævateinn)" throws a hand sized Sun like a baseball Incineration-Incineration man Anything he sees he can place Helheim Fire on Burn-Burn fruit
I think that there may be multiple Sun Gods in OP since the main references to ancient OP history has some inspiration from Nahua cultures like in Shandora and the moon glyphs. In our stories we note that there is a new Teteotl of the sun for each new age e.g. Tezcatlipoca, Tlaloc, and Huitzilopochtli This could be why Loki considers himself a Sun God as well, it could be a different model than Nika
What if Loki has the Lie Lie fruit and it gives him the ability to make everybody believe his lies. He then could trick everybody in some way and ussop is the only one who can see through his lies cause of his vast experience lying.
Love the David and Goliath idea. Usopp defeats Loki with a haki imbued sling shot hit to lokis head. Whether it's usopp learning to use haki or Luffy learning to imbue his haki into something like joy boy with the giant robot and usopp using it to deliver the final blow
Luffy heard a weird roar like noise that gave him goosebumps. Bet all my fictional pirates currency that he heard Loki’s stomach and will simply free the man in order to let him eat a bowl of Oops! All Ragnaroks.

6:13 the disrespect
"This Loki situation is truly sad, can't believe someone would kill his dad for a fucking fruit, it reminds me of the time I tickled my nipple by accident while playing guitar hero. That's about it, see ya"
Really loving those little edited cartoon fights. Theyre so amusing lol
You asked who is going to beat Loki on elbaf and I paused at 0:12 THE PREDICTION IS USSOP
Elbaf is his Arc afterall
Agreed
Loki joining the crew would be crazy. Gonna need a ship upgrade.
If he’s like the real Loki, he could shape shift into a small form and go big for combat or whenever
All the loki ally/sh glizzy glazing as if Hajrudin doesn't exist is kinda infuriating
I’m struggling with seeing him as an antagonist to Luffy at least considering a lot of Loki’s lore signifies the breaking of justice and order.
just finished a midnight shift gonna watch this on my way home lol
Usopp vs. Loki would also be a David vs. Goliath moment.
anyone else think that the Noah could be Joyboys pirate ship? Maby that's why Blackbeard is heading to Fishman Island, perhaps there are some Sun god secrets left onboard.
Nice video, Liam!

Quick we need some retroactive Big Mom Pirates reactions to Loki when he proposes to Lola to gauge his strength
Pero "I will only be the third strongest son if he joins our family"
Kat "he is closer to Mama in strength then I"
Smoothie "Lola will become Mamas favorite after this"
I strongly believe that Loki is not a bad guy, he might be just mentally broken, but now luffy will be there for him. However, Luffy befriending Loki will upset the whole Elbaph (Strawhats usually anger the whole nation lol :P) thus creating the space for the duel of straw hats vs Red Haired pirates!
1:19-1:20, hmmm like a certain economic system.
Kraken or Octopus DF weakened in the sea?
"We NEED To Talk About The Insane Loki Situation" ~ Norse Gods to Odin after Loki killed Baldur
Usopp gets GIANT plant ammo inspiration - Garden of Eden!
8:56 Kidd hitting Peter Griffin pose is very fitting for how low he got down
I think at this point it's save to say: The raid will fail.
Loki looks like that one freaky uncle
In norse mythology, loki is Thor's uncle, unlike the Marvel version of loki, making him Thor's brother. It's so ironic you called loki a "freaky uncle" when in norse, he indeed is freaky. An example is him giving birth to an 8 leg horse.
Glad I’m not the only one with a strange uncle who walks around in chains/blindfold and goes shirtless in the snow 😅
@@ryanbhan2708 loki isn't related to any of the gods. He was the son of 2 frost giants and was found by Odin and gradually brought into their fold. You don't call Fenrir or Jormungandr Odin's nephews despite them being Loki's children.
Yoo love the morj recognition
OK you wanted my brain thoughts, so this is on you. I recently read a comment here on YT under a video of the character theme of the character Hisako from the game Killer Instinct (2013) and it gave me an idea. I'll just quote the comment here:
"So for those who don't know, a Yokai, a Japanese spirit or mythological creature in some capacity is often able to imitate the human form or our mannerisms, but they tend to have problems repeating themselves, like saying the same word twice in a row.
Despite her state of being Hisako retains her humanity in death and combines it with her otherwordly powers to chase UltraTech around for pillaging the graves in her village which she died for to defend in the first place."
What does that have to do with OP? Well think about the naming scheme of Devil Fruits. And that can have some rather scary implications.
That's pretty cool context to know about. Thanks
🤔
Eagerly waiting for the next video, was hyped a lot
Ussop NEEDS to be the one who defeats Loki! It's been almost 25 YEARS since Little Garden forshadowed Ussop going to Elbaph and this was supposed to be Ussop's glow up arc right? Also, i see people saying Loki could become a Straw Hat member which would be cool but what about our boy/girl Yamato? Yamato needs to pull up already!
I love the editing, fighting animation
Omg im so early
One thing i love about this channel is that liam can theory craft while also having fun knowing full well , were just theory crafting and doesnt push his own head cannon agenda on to his subscribers, its just a man on the internet sharing his thoughts and some charlie day always sunny meme with all the graphs, love the channel king
I think at this point it's beyond fair to assume we are completely done with Eustass Kid. If any theory channels bring him up, dismiss them completely, unfollow and report for misinformation.
nah he is coming back at the end of the arc to react to the wsj newspaper 100%. maybe even a cover story if we are being generous.
Not really when we have been seeing nearly every major side character get something in the final saga and kid is a major side character whether we like it or not
I'm doing great grandlinereview thanks for asking I love ur channel it always helps me get thur the day

You should make a video why you think this because Usopp FEAT-WISE should be stronger than Chopper, Nami, Brook, and Franky. Im not saying you’re wrong, but i just dont understand why you would think Usopp is weaker than them
I think Loki might start as a villain or at least super strong antagonist but will end up among the heroes
I wanna see usopp standing against loki knowing hes gonna lose but he still fights to help the giants.
The animation parts of your videos are really amazing. Keep going, dear nakama 👍
I am doing well, just started a new position at my company and am excited for the future to come. Hope you are well, Liam!
Oda could take this the “I need to prove myself” growth arc and defeat Loki
ty dude on the internet
I could see the main antagonist of this arc being either
A. Man Marked by Flames
B.The silhouette in the beginning telling them to come
C. Urouge ( My personal dark horse of the story)
Getting into a car accident and healing during this break has been maddening. I need one piece to heal me
Brain thought: where are kuma and bonnie
3:58 I almost heard that guitar riff in my head when Loki was introduced. The same one when Zoro was first introduced.
I’m glad I stayed up until 3 am to catch this early upload
"the power of the Sun in my hand!(Hævateinn)" throws a hand sized Sun like a baseball
Incineration-Incineration man
Anything he sees he can place Helheim Fire on Burn-Burn fruit
4:17 I’d love for Loki to be another Oars styled fight! We need more docking in One Piece!!
Hey I watch both these guys on the internet talk about fictional pirates
I think that there may be multiple Sun Gods in OP since the main references to ancient OP history has some inspiration from Nahua cultures like in Shandora and the moon glyphs.
In our stories we note that there is a new Teteotl of the sun for each new age e.g. Tezcatlipoca, Tlaloc, and Huitzilopochtli
This could be why Loki considers himself a Sun God as well, it could be a different model than Nika
I Like to think that Loki is an ally bc it would lowkey be funnier
I had a great day, thanks for asking :)
Just for laughs give Loki voice dio’s
Orochimaru's
