    As a person who struggles in CS mental-wise I kinda understand him - the game helps with general irl problems by distracting you. Yes it takes energy, but at least it's not your job or related to family issues or w/e. The problem is that the guy plays the game FOR FUN as he said. There's nothing wrong to play for fun. But he paid pienix to coach him. Why? He doesn't seem too keen on investing time to actually refine his mechanics or game knowledge. I can't imagine him going on a Saturday morning like me and launching a map solo to practice some solo scenarios. Maybe I am wrong, but his "aura" tells me he took his coaching for some kind of "shortcut" to get decent at the game.

      Sometimes someone pointing your mistakes and creating a path for you to develop can make achieve your goals, generally improve faster than if you were just working on your own.
      I know that by own irl examples, and the same thing when I first touched CS when I was still a little shit playing with older friends in the school "internet cafe". They showed me the basics back in 1.6 so I could play with them at all lol

      You make a very good point. CS becomes a fun game (at least for me, cant speak for everyone) when you and everyone else on the team are doing everything they can to try and win the match. When yours and the opposing team your playing against are equal or even greater skill levels that's when you start to see interesting things happen within the scope of it all. I feel like there are some players who hop on to seek instant gratification in this game and that's why you start to see lazy gameplay like this guy pienix is coaching.

      tbh i play to have fun, i do not enjoy other games like rust, or cod, or solo games. I enjoy playing CS because communication is important ( not key ) and its pretty straight forward ( no ult's, jumpsliding, or wallgliding ). I work and then get home and it is really sad to always have to struggle with having a fun game, even though i play with friends, or download 3party programs like faceit and so on. I do not understand how there can be such a toxic community connected to the game and it disgusts me. Myself i come from a time where community servers was the go to, often played with same people for days on end, with new people joining and dropping as games went on. But today it seems like no one plays for fun anymore, either they toxic, or full silent doing their own shit ( yes i know this is fun for them, but no one else ). Why is there not a place for people to avoid stuff like that? i understand that some people like to just troll, but stay on MM, or what ever. there should be a place where people accually want to win and work togheter. But i guess the world over all isnt that nice either so its just a dream.

    • @HerbaceousM8
      @HerbaceousM8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      you dont tell someone the almost right chess moves, you teach them like they can play correctly, even if they cant, actually play 100% right. you tell them the optimal moves. you teach them like they can play like a level 10 because thats closer to how you play the game. playing AFK in spawn like a silver might get you kills against level 10s, but its a terrible play. the other issue is when asked what/why he throws that nade, he doesnt really know what the plan was except "idk i throw it". pienixcs says the players fall back to sandbag/ throwing it sandbag is better. doing 20 damage to a player falling back doesnt do anything, getting a sound que/40 damage for sandbag is a lot better

    • @HerbaceousM8
      @HerbaceousM8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      he also says "its a 3v5, so i can throw random garbage, thats why smoking early doesnt matter"... but it was bad because there is no chance you actually have a 2v5 on the site and yet again the better play is smoking later, but he insists that smoking early and losing was the right play.

      On point 👏

    • @kalreynolds5829
      @kalreynolds5829 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No. It's not good.
      You have a bad mentality, you think there's a difference there in the play. There isn't. On low elo, people lurk sandbags and hold top banana as well. That util is bad. It's Call of Duty utility.
      Grenades don't one shot kill in CS. You're trying to hit damage on the enemy assuming they have nade stacked and ran away. The BEST result is you tag them for damage then they hide on site and kill you from a crossfire or CT anyway. That nade DOES NOT HELP YOU TAKE BANANA. And what are you doing when you turn half wall? TAKING BANANA!
      If they peek car and you throw that nade you are dead and you are probably going to get the next guy killed as well. If they peak halfwall you are dead and the next guy is DEFINITELY dead. If they hold sandbag, you have done nothing to make the fight easier.
      With grenades, the idea is to either stack them to get a kill, or deal chip damage which will let you get the kill with a gun and distract the enemy from your sound as you peek them. That's why everyone throws a grenade over halfwall that is designed to damage car, halfwall, or sandbags.
      The best result for your grenade is it leads to you or your teammate shooting them dead right after.
      This one won't do that. It won't help you take top banana if they hold it. And then you have less util to effectively take site. On the off chance you deal decent damage with it (you won't most of the time) the guy will hold a hard bitch angle on newbox or orangeboxes and kill one of your team anyway.
      Good util leads to kills and site takes, not to "maybe doing damage". Your gun is better for that. This is a low percentage play. You don't make low percentage plays that are likely to lose, you learn plays that are more likely to succeed.
      Your mindset is like approaching chess by learning "Fool's mate" and trying it every time because it worked on your cousin once, so you know some people don't know it. You never improve the fundamentals because "sometimes it works" at which point, why are you even playing? You're a bot.

    • @r.w.8182
      @r.w.8182 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Kind of agree but I would argue that when you play against lower tiers, your strats should be focused more on how lower tiers play.

      @@r.w.8182he is lvl 4, when does he play against better players? 😂

    • @kalreynolds5829
      @kalreynolds5829 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@r.w.8182 No, they should be focused around winning. This is an excuse, and excuses don't win games or improve you. You're assuming that you, and this guy, are better than the people you're being ranked with. You're not, you're actually as bad as them, that's why it's putting you in a match with them.
      Do you want to know what it looks like when you're playing a game against lower tiers and you're a higher tier player? Do you want to know how to actually win that?
      You shoot them with your higher tier aim and kill them all, winning the round. You don't bother throwing utility that *might* damage them if they run away, because you aren't a low tier player about chip damage. You're a high tier player and you're getting kills. You throw your nade straight into them and you peek them and shoot them because you don't respect them and you are a better player.
      This nonsense "We are in low ranks so it makes sense to shift wall everywhere and bait our teammates and throw bad utility that gives away our strats" is entirely backwards. That's why you're in that low tier, because you are making bad strategies, bad plays, with bad utility. Instead of throwing utility, just go kill. If you can't just go kill, then you clearly are not playing against low tier enemies (for you) who are easy kills. You need utility to win. And if that is the case then you should throw GOOD UTILITY that helps you to win rounds, not BAD UTILITY THAT DOES CHIP DAMAGE AND GIVES AWAY YOUR STRATEGY WHILE DOING NOTHING TO HURT YOUR ENEMY.
      That smoke he threw? That got him killed. That directly got him killed. He threw a shit nade for top banana, did some chip damage and could have gotten himself killed. The enemies naturally pulled back and held angles on him. Then, he gave away that he and another teammate were going to play onto B by throwing an early coffin smoke, which caused the coffin player to push forward to fountain. That guy at fountain shot him when he finally peeked site. That is not "playing strats around the enemies you are playing against". That is "having bad gamesense and strats that get you and your team killed".
      If bro really feels he is above the strategy, he should stop fucking up the strategy and superstar rifle.
