When talking about dream interpretations about your client who may have been borderline I can see it really bothered you. I want to thank you for your transparency on this topic and the caution to learn with responsibility. I am a graduate student with background in Dietetics and Health Promotion for the past 15 years. Shifted my career focus due to many huge life changes and awareness which have taken place. All for the better. I really enjoy your view on this, right now I am heavy in my course to examining personality theories etc. Its has been such a life opening awareness diving in. Thank you once again for your insight into this. Alicia Ramos El Paso TX.
I find it interesting that your step son was embarrassed of his dream. Maybe deep inside he knew that he had some affection for his teacher and didn't know how to deal with it and when he realize you and your wife understood that it revealed his feeling of embarrassment.
Write those dreams down and reread occasionally. It took me 45 years to fully understand one dream. But once I did, I resolved my unsuccessful psychoanalysis experienced during my mid-late 20's. Bigelow is correct. There is tremendous resistence - usually for good reasons!
My impression is Jung has good points, yet Freud can cure if you can deal with your sexuality. Freud is far more accessible. Jung did not want to deal with his mother complex, probably because he slept with some of his patients, and yes he was married. (A fact that few know.) And, for that matter, Freud did not resolve his oedipal complex ether - which is odd.
I must admit that I was raised as a solid christian, but finally realized it was not helping me...quite the opposite. I left the church in my early 20's. It was not an easy decision, yet, I had to face reality.
17:05 this is so true so beautifully explained
Its been 4 years!!! and I still use this video to teach Dream interrpreation to my students.
I've been interpreting my dreams for 50 years. Everything is in them.

I love this ...well explained and being cautious in interpretation
Fascinating thanks so much
Brilliant video, thank you
Brilliant! Sometimes, dreams are overwhelming. One doesn't necessarily has s psychoanalyst as a holding environment. What does one do then?

Did Freud reference predetermined dreams?
It is clear and helpful, thanks a lot
This guy is one of the real ones
That's precisely what I realized - authentic.
I am currently read Jung and am interested in your opinion on his work.
Great video and thanks!

@@bellakrinkle9381 controversial but good points. Any interest in joing a psychoanalysis reading group I host?
Very useful, thank you.
Great work : )
Freud is a lie. Dreams can reveal the future.
Correct.
Not a lie. He never experienced a predetermined dream (series).
Wrong. Should be its. Now I can't trust what you say if you can't even get a simple word right.
