For me, it was my tablet's aspect ratio. You don't necessarily need to force aspect ratio if you are used to playing without it on. Top players such as Badeu and WhiteCat play without forcing proportions. But I do think it takes significantly longer to get used to.
@@saturn6458 I literally only alternate, sometimes single tap, but only on longer songs to conserve stamina. (Longer meaning 7+ minute maps, which are my fav to play tbh).
I think "tapping when your cursor is on the note" is a bad habit. Doing that makes it much harder to hit complex patterns and space streams. Also, if you look at the top players you'll find the players with the best aim have the best timing ability. WhiteCat for example has insane UR and taps almost perfectly in the middle at all times. It's best to try to sync both your aim and your timing to a common source, the rhythm of the map. If both are properly reacting to the rhythm then you will not miss. If you are having trouble syncing your aim with the rhythm I recommend using replay analyzer to see whether you are under aiming or over aiming based on the rhythm.
tapping is more of a physical skill so it improves gradually as you challenge it and play maps that are slightly outside your comfort range. it's conceptually very similar to exercising in general. keep pushing yourself gradually and don't give up!
@@honmi i think that the first step is figuring out if its your technique holding you back. i used to tap with ultra small movements, and while that let me do stupidly high bpms for 10-20 notes, its really hard to consistently deathstream with. changed my technique up a bit and now i have infinite 230-240 stamina
