    It sounds like the exams now aren't testing what you've learned, but rather, how you think.

    If you are good at math and can see deeper. There is a much easier way to solve the first equation.
    Simplify as
    x**2 - 6x + (b/3 + 8) = 0
    To have only one solution, this should be perfect square.
    (x - w)**2 = 0
    2w = 6 => w = 3
    w**2 = 9 = b/3 + 8
    => 1 = b/3
    => b = 3
    Actually, I over explained by splitting it into multiple steps so that anyone can understand it.
    I solved it in much fewer steps in my head in less than ten seconds.
    Faster than using the calculator.

      Or if you are better yet at math:
      f(x)=-3x^2+20x-24
      g(x)=2x+b
      g'(x)=2
      f'(x)=-6x+20
      g'(x)=f'(x)=2, x=3 (there can only be one solution when the line is tangent to the curve)
      solve for y coordinate by substituting x=3 to f, then solve for b

    Can you make a updated trasnfer video? Specifically the rankings, stats and acceptance rate for transfer students. A transfer guide would be helpful too.

      hello bro iam from apkistan too, Hello, I understand that preparing for the SAT through self-study can be challenging. Having experienced this situation myself, I highly recommend considering tutoring if it is financially feasible for you. Personally, I opted for online tutoring for the SAT, and it significantly benefited me. I anticipate improving my SAT score by 200 to 250 points, primarily due to the coaching classes.
      The real-time practice tests available in the tutoring app were exceptional, totaling over 14 SAT tests. These tests effectively addressed my time management concerns. I strongly advise taking all of them. Additionally, some questions require swift responses, particularly in the English section. For me, the most time-consuming questions were cross-test connections and graph-related ones. Solving such questions under timed conditions proved immensely helpful.
      The tutoring program also offered thousands of practice questions, complemented by concise concept videos. These videos allowed me to review specific concepts where I struggled. Furthermore, our instructor conducted comprehensive two-hour lectures twice a week, supplemented by daily student-led discussions on challenging questions.
      In summary, investing in tutoring can make a substantial difference. On average, one can expect a score improvement of over 200 points. While some tutoring services can be costly, I managed to find one for $90 per month. If this still seems steep, I can share my login details, enabling you to access the same classes for $39. I would be glad to assist you, although I must emphasize the need for some financial support as I pursue university applications abroad and cover other expenses. Feel free to contact me on Instagram (sat_prep3636) for more information. Thank you.

      We will have 1. add'l practice tests beyond what CB offers 2. Customized study list tool (rn not available on Khan academy) basically tags what you missed and suggests what to watch 3. better videos -- HD full screen videos that cover EVERY type of question and review what you need to know to learn the ins and outs of the test from a pro tutor vs. a collab w/ test maker itself -- I will give you tips on how to crush the test from every angle possible. :) Video coming out this week w/ more details!

    • @brookifyd
      @brookifyd 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Some can. In my experience about 5-10% of kids can make meaningful progress on their SAT score without a tutor. The rest don't perform as well as those with tutors. It takes a lot of self discipline. But between free youtube videos, khan academy and reddit -- it can be done. We also have a beta tester program supertutortv.com/beta which offers free access in exchange for feedback.
