You should use the modifiers. For example, try Lasers + Ghost Shot + Bouncy Shots. Also you can remove the ability to kill people after dying (although I think it is a perfectly legitimate strategy to do that). There is also the option to make the first shot that everyone shoots a cork which, while amusing, can also prevent situations where someone is killed right as the round starts due to their positioning.
