Idk I used to have to practice gentle touches with our cat when my daughter was an infant and make exaggerated “ow!” faces when she pulled his fur 🥴 this baby might just be a sweetheart
Don’t think it was instinct. Some people are just naturally more gentle. A good sign of some early maturity. Some babies and kids, though, can just end up ungentle little monsters!😅
Humans don't have instincts like that. Preservation and procreation

Goodness, I legit haven’t seen anything nearly this cute in many years. And that’s saying some thing because I’ve cared for 5 younger siblings since they where new born. Granted the first two less so because I was still young.

I wanted a Cocker Spanjel 8 months ago because I loved them when I was little. My husband didn’t want me to get that breed because he said they are temperamental and not great with kids. Said he grew up around two mean Spaniels. I knew the one I grew up around wasn’t super friendly but it wasn’t mean either. So, I argued it with him and decided to read about them. It’s true, they are temperamental. Supposedly.
Love how gentle that baby is. The puppy feeling safe enough to cuddle into her like that, is just beautiful!

@@OleT967No she doesn’t 🙄 She LIGHTLY tugs at the puppy’s fur - trying to pet it but lacking fine motor control, leaving the motion kinda jerky. Puppy did not react thus was not in pain.

I've seen babies be very rough with pets so it's surprising how gentle she is with the puppy
Most kids are rough--much due to limited motor control as well as simply not knowing better. These were both really gentle, but always watch them together, as moods can change and with excitement or fear, roughness can happen quickly!
my son was always like that, I've never once had to tell him to be gentle with animals. he's about to be 5, is nonverbal autistic, and he loves birds best. watching him slowly go up to geese and ducks, so slowly they don't leave, is so neat to watch. no one showed him how to do that, in fact I didn't want him near the geese, they get so mean

If I ever wanted or got a dog this would be the breed
Could be a border collie (coat colors and patterns) mixed with a spaniel (ears)
Apparently this breed has chronic headaches, nerve pain, and sometimes brain damage from their heads being too small. It's cute, but I think it's one of those breeds that we shouldn't be trying to continue that much.
This baby girl is so gentle with this puppy unlike other children that are a bit harsh while playing with puppies.😊

Puppies and babies are such a blessing to be with. Mom got a Cocker Spaniel puppy for her birthday shortly after her first granddaughter was born. It was instant love. When Erin became a crawler, she would go to Sam and they would rub noses. It was a delight to watch them! ❤
