Nice setup. A card slitter is a worthwhile investment in any print shop. In our 35+ years in the print industry, our business card slitter is our most used finishing machine, as we do an average of 5 business card orders a day. It’s a money making machine!!! 😊

You never actually said which paper cutter is the one you showed. You called it "little baby paper cutter". But what is that model?

We are a bit out of date. We have 3 Challenge cutters 26.5", 30.5" and a 42", but we don't have a single slitter. We don't do that many business cards, mostly brochures and flyers. The biggest time saver we got was a booklet maker with 3-side trimming. We used to have to trim two sides of our books and that took lots of time. There are decent savings to be had here buying skids of paper vs precut.
Another huge time saver was adding creasers to our folder. We previously had to use our Heidelberg Cylinder to crease, but about 12 years ago we added creasing wheels to our folder and it was a very good investment.

Thanks for this video! We’ve been outsourcing our paper print products for a few years now but the problem we are running into is quick low quantity orders of business cards, postcards and posters. Looking for a budget printer such as the oki or an Epson that can handle the heavier 14pt or 16pt stock. Can the biz hubs handle that weight?

I just bought a used Xerox WorkCentre 7535 yesterday for $50 and it WORKS! It can do up to 300lb weight. Excited to offer more thicker paper options! And I have a hydraulic paper cutter that needs the blade sharpened.....does anyone have suggestions for where I can send it to get it sharpened? I'm in SoCal.

50 percent off is great. And when you buy another one remember they have pretty much 50 percent mark up so make sure you talk them down at least 35 percent

Hey thanks for the video. I order about 100K pieces of EDDM and would do more if I could. Do you have a recommendation for a printer for printing cardstock EDDM?

I frequently run 4x6 and 5x7 flyers on 10-16pt cardstock. What entry level digital printer do you recommend for this type of job? Thanks!

Entry level printers won't print 16pt.

Nice setup! I do some print but I have a hard time with creating layouts. What program for layouts do you recommend investing time to learn?

I have a Konica Minolta c554e with a finisher. It works okay. It's not ideal though because when printing on 12x18 paper, the print warps, making doing flyers and business cards difficult. It's also nearly impossible to get both sides of the paper aligned properly for double-sided things. If anyone knows how to fix these issues, I'm all ears. I spent days trying to get it configured and printing straight but wasn't able to make any headway with it.
