Great video. AC stopped cooling on my 2015 Accent yesterday! Fan runs...it's just blowing out warm air. So I hope that's what my problem is! Even if it's not, it'll still be worth trying first before wasting my time just to drop it off at the dealer. They tell me they have a 3 day wait!!! Thank you againg Garage Guys for the excellent video! (Austin, Texas). instagram.com/casanovadesignusa/
I love you guys and your videos. You have saved me lots of money in repairs. I am a 63 year old woman (today was my birthday) and thanks to you I replaced all my headlight bulbs with your help, and today I recharged my air conditioner in my Elantra! My friend had it done at a shop and paid over $200. I paid $37 for the Arctic Freeze and only needed a half a can!! Win Win!!! Thank you again. And by the way, your little baby is adorable!
Hi Dana, I am encouraged by your comment and am thinking of trying what this guy has demonstrated on my 2016 Elantra. BTW...I'm senior to you by many years. Thanks for sharing your experience. 🙏

I'm glad I found this channel because when I turn my AC on it just blow out hot air and when I turn my heat on it works so I didn't know if I should take it and get Freon put in it but now see what I can do thank you so much

How do I know when the can is empty & when I should stop? This video is great! Anything that ever goes wrong with my car I fixed it myself by watching you!
Hey man I have a question for you I have same car but didn't have any lines changed in my car so do I have to empty the coolant out before I hook the new can on it
This is a great video. I think I need the can. However it’s not only warm/hot air. It makes a whistling sound when the A/C is on only. Do you think it just needs the air can? I don’t hear the whistling when hot air is on.
thank you guys so much for the video and the tutorial, I have HYUNDAI ELANTRA 2013 recently started the same problem I had no idea what to do and was miserable driving to work for the last two days, but because of your help I got to be able to fix it, again THANK YOU SO MUCH I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT
Thank you for this video. I had a feeling it was a simple process and not worth paying labor over. You guys are always so helpful! I also changed my alternator after watching one of your videos. :)
Thank you, and God bless, you your wife and your "Little Monster ", your video allowed me to drive my car and have AC , I feel so sorry for anyone driving now days with no AC thank you again :)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have a 2013 Elantra and will certainly refill using this method. So if I understand correctly, I should check the fuse first? Why would the refrigerant level be low ?
Thanks you. I used A/C Ultra Synthetic Pro with 20 oz. I got it for $33 which is good deal. My gf Elantra still has good pressure. After I added A/C pro, it went down from 30F to 0 F at 65-70 ambient temp.
Is the gauge supposed to go down then shoot right back up? I put some in but it hasn't gotten colder, I'm worried that if I need too much then it means something else is wrong.
My wife’s 2012 Hyundai ac is blowing room temperature air on the driver side and cold air on the passenger side… do you think this will help it/fix it?
Good video. Besides lack of cooling, what are other indications or symptoms that the ac system is low on freon? When we run the AC and toggle the AC button, we hear a hissing sound when AC light is on. Thanks.
My Elantra's refrigerant was empty so the mechanic refilled it for $60 and the a/c worked for a few days. Is there any use recharging it again? He said that if there is a leak this would happen but a compressor replacement costs $$$....I'm not sure if I trust him. Is there anyway for me to find out what else could be wrong? It is not the fuse. The Hyundai dealer can't take me for another 2 weeks. I need help fast!!! 🙏
How do I know if my one requires refilling? Is there a gauge or meter somewhere, or is it purely based on my intuition of how cold the air blowing out should be?
If it’s blowing hot or lukewarm air when the AC is turned on, then you need to recharge it with refrigerant. If it’s blowing cold air then you don’t need to add refrigerant.
@@311-y7f Yeah it’s most likely due to a leak. Try recharging it, and pay attention to how long the cold air lasts. If, after recharging, it starts blowing hot air again within a few months or less, the leak is significant and should be sealed. If it blows cold air for 1 year or more, the leak is very small and doesn’t need immediate attention.
Find the relay that controls the AC compressor. At this point you can use a paper clip to jump it. You can test this when the cars off. You will here a notable "click" noise of the compressor engaging. I had to do this on my old truck because the compressor wouldn't kick on because of the lack of refrigerant in it
If you did some repairs on the system, the system is filled with air. You ned to connect a vacuum pump first to remove air + moisture from air - otherwise system will develop acid and hurt the compressor.
I tried but I could get the gauge to stay connected an most of it came out and barely anything in. end result hot air in the car.. (I use different anti freeze, it was more difficult to pressed in)
My a/c is fucked, and has been, but I didnt know how to do it, and I didnt have the money so this helps a lot, ill end up trying it out and see if it finally blows cold air again. Btw this is the second summer, and it's 105 here, so very fucking hot, considering I commute to work, I definately need it, im tired of having to deal with this shit
