Great tour of Edinburgh, thank you. It seemed a very ‘bready’ diet, but still looked tasty, I agree with others that thought a breakfast should be included for that price. Look forward to next vlog
Great vlog, loved seeing Edinburgh. Thought the Hotel price was steep, but guess City prices. Looked like you enjoyed your time there, thanks for sharing xx
Nice upload how about york next its supposed to be really nice. And can you do a roast dinner comparison maybe tobys carvery and a restaurant or pub roast?
Hello EIE. Gosh, I can't believe the museum was free, it was fantastic. Your room was good but pricey. I loved the castle. Thank you for showing. Arthur's Seat must have been exhausting. And you had fine snacks. Great vlog 😊😊
Agree, if you were there while the Festival was still on, £145 is good value for a double room in the centre. I was there mid-August and ended up paying £95 for a similar place in Dundee - yes, Dundee - because Travelodge and Premier Inns even on the main roads and motorways into Edinburgh were £180+. If travelling solo like that and on a budget I buy food from M&S and booze in ‘Spoons - maybe not so exciting for a video though 😂😂😂.
So you've spread your wings to Edinburgh. Great City IMO to visit. As your vlog showed, some top sites to visit, the castle a must. Have say struggle with £50 budget visiting any City. Meal for two wipe that out sadly. I thinking Newcastle good next visit. Got fantastic stadium worth viewing and I'm a southerner.
glad you enjoyed your stay in my home town! You could have got your snacks a little cheaper if you had gone to a supermarket. Any local would tell you where the nearest one would be. the hotel was pretty good but Edinburgh during the festival is alway more expensive…weather was even kind to you not always a given up here! ❤🏴
Subscribed. Thanks for the incredible, journeys. Taking me to, Edinburgh. Truly is, inspiring. I had my regular, mixed grill takeaway just now. 8, pounds and 80, pence including 2,Lamb chops and chips... I drive there to, York Road, Thanks again.
I Love Your Videos no matter where You go or what You Do!! Although I Love Scotland I've not been to Edinburgh, it looks Lovely. This Video gives a Good insight!! You did very well with Your £50 Budget & the Hotel Room was Nice too. Some Great Attractions but don't think I could have managed Arthur's Seat, You have to be Fit for that! Thank You for Sharing 😊 💜
That was amazing! Lot of money spent on the accommodation but so glad you pointed out it was cheaper than TravelLodge on that night. We love your videos, seldom comment, we should more. This 24 hours has been very inspirational, is this how much Irn Bru costs in Scotland? Surely it should be free! Great hike. Loved this. Will be doing it too. Thank you 🙏
I liked and enjoyed this video very much, seeing you buy your drinks and food. The hotel I thought was ok, the basement was ok, but I'd like to see a view, open the curtains, good to have the biscuits, coffees machine, shame just espresso. I'd like you to do more videos like this, and ride on buses, trains, stay in more hotels, walk then eat your food in restaurant or get from shop. Thank you. :) 👍
I don't know but for £145 I would have expected some kind of breakfast...even a small continental breakfast would have been nice. Come up here to the Scottish Highlands. Inverness is nice and clean and you might spot Nessie on Loch Ness!
Really enjoyed travelling around with you in Edinburgh, thank you! 😎 Food Prices and Attractions great, but for £145 I would've expected a full Scottish Breakfast and a view! Though the room looked comfortable and bathroom had a shower and bath. Still expensive though, probably the Edinburgh Festival had something to do with it? Next, has to be Cardiff! 😊
Were you there during the festival? I feel the hotel was good value as located in a great central location. It also appears to be clean and well presented although I don’t like the basement location and lack of view
I think an insane thing to do is you have £40 and you have get to breakfast lunch and dinner in the first restaurant you see for every meal And you have to have 1 piece of entertainment in 1 city or wherever but anyway good piece of Edinburgh for ya especially Arthur’s cliff or seat whatever lol
Great video you sure made the most of your visit to Edinburgh every penny wisely spent and the hotel was far superior to the London one. Full of character and amenities I still think £50 for such a visit is too little. Why be anxious about running out of cash. Up your budget, you don't have to spend it all do you?
I assume that there were no IYHA or SYHA beds available. For independant travellers these are always the first port of call. They may not be luxurious but they are functional and have access to a kitchen to cook your own food. Failing that Air B'n'B? Your choice of food was interestign. Thought you might have tried some real scottish food, like scotch pies, bridies or even stoves. Plain fare! Were you at the castle for the one o'clock canon? As a child I could hear it from Princess Street before road traffic became so noisy and congested. All in all a good visit.
when you look the time cost was £200. for the castle its better just to become a member, the you could have went in the toolbooth place for free with the membership card. if you are going to do Historical Scotland sites or English Heritage ones too. with that you could do one video about each place. location. parking how to get there etc. still think you could get better offer and get them supply's from a supermarket. even Tesco etc sandwich, crisps and a drink for apx £3.50 I would drop the castle on cost if I was on a budget view from outside only, then do more of the free Museums and art galleries. as well as the shopping area etc the meals were not as cheap as you could have made it. for what you got. we are looking at doing things cheap and you still do not seem to be in the mind set to do it correctly
I do hope your next episode isn't "24 hours in the worst town in the UK with only 50 pounds- was I able to buy enough alcohol to forget ever coming here?"
Where should I go for my next 24 hours?
Comment Below 😀
Worcester
Come to Wilmslow 🙌🏼💋
Birmingham
Swansea
Glasgow!
Great tour of Edinburgh, thank you. It seemed a very ‘bready’ diet, but still looked tasty, I agree with others that thought a breakfast should be included for that price. Look forward to next vlog
Wicked video! Looks a fantastic City!! The hotel also looked nice and that scenery was amazing!! …. Smithy
It was a great city, I really enjoyed it 😀
Great vlog, loved seeing Edinburgh. Thought the Hotel price was steep, but guess City prices. Looked like you enjoyed your time there, thanks for sharing xx
I had a great time there 😀 the hotel price was a bit steep though
my favorite northern city, i liked that, the hotel was nice, good vlog , thanks, any northern areas would be good, maybe cornwall too
Wow, City looks great.
£145 is pretty ok, considering it’s a Double room. Nice decor.
I love the History of Edinburgh 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I liked the history too
Another banger mate loving the content
Thanks 😀 Much appreciated
Nice upload how about york next its supposed to be really nice. And can you do a roast dinner comparison maybe tobys carvery and a restaurant or pub roast?
Hello EIE.
Gosh, I can't believe the museum was free, it was fantastic. Your room was good but pricey. I loved the castle. Thank you for showing. Arthur's Seat must have been exhausting. And you had fine snacks. Great vlog 😊😊
The snacks got me to the top 😀

PLEASE please please do your next 24 hr vid in Lincoln!!! You'd love our Castle and Cathedral :))

Any local would tell you where the nearest one would be. the hotel was pretty good but Edinburgh during the festival is alway more expensive…weather was even kind to you not always a given up here! ❤🏴
The wether was great when I went, nice and sunny
Never mind the hotel price - the mark up on the Irn Bru and the Snickers is insane. Apart from that great vid as usual.
I love these videos you do with your £50 budget Edinburgh is a lovely place hope you continue to do these videos
I like doing them 😀 they do cost a lot to do though lol.
Subscribed. Thanks for the incredible, journeys.
Taking me to, Edinburgh. Truly is, inspiring.

Awesome! Thank you!
Really enjoyable and interesting video, thank you!
Thanks 😀 Glad you enjoyed it!
24 hrs in my home town of Birmingham, if you haven't done it already.
I have not done Birmingham yet, but will do in the future
Fabulous video, £145 is expensive, but if you enjoyed it that's all what counts.
Cardiff next then Belfast
Since you did London and Edinburgh it only makes sense to do the capitals of Wales and Northern Ireland next
That does make sense
That room was a bit steep. Looks like a great city though. Next visit, have you been to Skegness or Bangor? Opposite sides of Britain
I have been to Skegness but not for a 24 hour visit.
Edinburgh is beautiful! Definitely hope to visit someday
Its definitely worth visiting
I Love Your Videos no matter where You go or what You Do!! Although I Love Scotland I've not been to Edinburgh, it looks Lovely. This Video gives a Good insight!! I had a great time in Edinburgh, its a great place to visit. The room was a bit pricey though
I visited once and would like to visit again when I have more than a day to visit. You did very well on the 50 pounds.
Its definitely a city worth visiting
Edinburgh is great isn’t it. Belfast is another great place which should be on your list. Plenty to do in Manchester too.
Its a great city
New sub here stumbled across tbe channel great content
Thanks and welcome
Glasgow next! or Southend on Sea. How long did it take you to get up Arthur's Seat?
I think it took me a bit longer than usual as I was stopping to take pictures and videos lol
That room was lovely
It was a really nice room
That was amazing! Lot of money spent on the accommodation but so glad you pointed out it was cheaper than TravelLodge on that night. We love your videos, seldom comment, we should more. This 24 hours has been very inspirational, is this how much Irn Bru costs in Scotland? Surely it should be free! Great hike. Loved this. Will be doing it too. Thank you 🙏
Thanks 😀
Coffee tip, stick some hot water and milk in that espresso and bang, you've got a regular coffee
Great tip, I should have done that
I liked and enjoyed this video very much, seeing you buy your drinks and food. Would love u to do wales i remember going to the blue john mines with school back in the 80,si think that was in wales
Any city in particular you recommend?
@@everydayimeating3407 not particularly just like wales in general:)
Irn Bru made from girders
Room cost for what you have is way over the odds. Food looks reasonable and delicious. Beats London. Come to Norwich or Chelmsford next.
I love Edinburgh- beautiful city.
I agree
The festival period is the most expensive time in Edinburgh for hotels. In two weeks that hotel would be half the price.
I should have gone later lol
Brighton or Bath next?
Or Manchester possibly?
I don't know but for £145 I would have expected some kind of breakfast...even a small continental breakfast would have been nice. Come up here to the Scottish Highlands. Inverness is nice and clean and you might spot Nessie on Loch Ness!
PLEASE come to Bristol!!! ❤
I will have to in the furture
My home! Welcome mate
Its a great city!
Excellent❤🎉
Thanks!

The festival probably did have something to do with the price
Please do Cambridge next!
It looks like a great place, I will have to visit
Another superb video, proof that Yorkshiremen aren't too tight and stingy to put their hands in their pockets. Keep up the good work mate!
Thanks 👍
Hi enjoyed your vlog so you drive to these place or get a bus or train x
All of the above, it depends where it is
Were you there during the festival? I feel the hotel was good value as located in a great central location. It also appears to be clean and well presented although I don’t like the basement location and lack of view
I think the festival had just ended, the view wasn't very good from that room but it was a good room though
Please do 24 hours in Birmingham
Great video 😎
Thanks 😁
I think an insane thing to do is you have £40 and you have get to breakfast lunch and dinner in the first restaurant you see for every meal And you have to have 1 piece of entertainment in 1 city or wherever but anyway good piece of Edinburgh for ya especially Arthur’s cliff or seat whatever lol
£40 would be a tough challenge
How about trying the Harrods £24 Breakfast & the Ritz Breakfast and compare the 2?
Great video you sure made the most of your visit to Edinburgh every penny wisely spent and the hotel was far superior to the London one. Full of character and amenities I still think £50 for such a visit is too little. Why be anxious about running out of cash. Up your budget, you don't have to spend it all do you?
What do you think my budget should be?
@@everydayimeating3407 £100 or £50 cash then £50 debit/credit card.
Good, you're getting away from Leeds area. Maybe venture south?. Nottingham, Warwick, Worcester, Stratford, all recommended.
I assume that there were no IYHA or SYHA beds available. For independant travellers these are always the first port of call. They may not be luxurious but they are functional and have access to a kitchen to cook your own food. Failing that Air B'n'B?

All in all a good visit.
It's Princes Street (plural of Prince). Not Princess Street...
when you look the time cost was £200.

Expensive room food not too bad
Love Edinburgh - to be fair though budget is £195 though, not £50.
Its even more if you include the cost of travel there
£145 for a lovely room in central Edinburgh during the Fringe isn't too bad at all
It was cheaper than some Travelodges so thought it was a decent price
Conwy .north Wales
Would u prefer to go independent or chain hote
Am sure the hotel would of been cheaper not in august
I feel that the Hotel should have offered breakfast for the price
The comparison with the Travelodge is key. Travelodge also does not do breakfast and is much more basic
You were obviously standing outside of our national parliament before climbing King Arthur's Seat one would have thought you would have shown it!!
Don’t know why you don’t get a meal deal or greggs for lunch save yourself a few quid
I always thought the top thing to do in Edinburgh was to get drunk and fight 🥴
Dublin
Any chance you can do Benidorm for £50 in the next 6 week?😂
🤔
£145 Is a bit steep for one night.
It is!
I do hope your next episode isn't "24 hours in the worst town in the UK with only 50 pounds- was I able to buy enough alcohol to forget ever coming here?"
🤣🤣
there's no way you think Edinburgh is the worst city in the UK when Liverpool exists
You need go to rhyl, you'd go home £40 change 😂
I find a panino more than enough I could n3ver ear two ie panini .
Have you got a name or do I just call you everyday.
£140 get stuffed Edinburgh for you over priced hotel a hostel would have been cheaper I met some Scotts who said Edinburgh to expensive stuck up
