Nice video, If you build another one you might consider using velcro for your charge controller as well. That will help to eliminate more penetrations in the box.

My wifes family lives on a self-sustaining generational farm, about 400 acers. There are 5 houses on the farm and everyone works it, and they all run around with their UV-5R's, but there are hills and valleys, so there are dead spots. Im thinking something like this would be perfect for better communication. I'll have to figure out how to set up a repeater, but im sure there is a video on YT for that. But if the repeater is under heavy use, could I just upgrade battery and solar panel size to accommodate? Andbhave you used this set up with great success, meaning no problems with wanting to utilize the repeater, but it isn't functioning properly or there isnt enough power to keep it going? Im really looking for a set it and forget it.

Is it possible to use repeater mode in the same band? Like 467.450 in and 467.550 out?

Thanks for this video, I just bought a similar TYT and planning a similar repeater build so perfect to get some info from your video.

Similar setup here. A couple things I’ve discovered.
