I remember the theme songs to most TV sitcoms from this era, when I watched them as a kid, but I had forgotten this music. I see the writers are different for this than "I Love Lucy," but Wilbur Hatch wrote the music. Thank you for this upload. It brings back memories of the happy part of my childhood, and I kind of associated Lily and Hilda with my two grandmothers, who I miss every day.
OMG I enjoyed watching this. I see I was 6 when the the first season of this show aired. I have no memory of the individual plots but I do remember Spring Byington! Great ensemble cast and very well done ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just loved ❤ Spring Byington. She had so much charm and enthusiasm.

Seems to follow the format of I Love Lucy, but maybe it is just this episode. It is enjoyable. 😊
it was the same sets and produced by Desilu, another similar series is Angel which was created by the same man that created I Love Lucy
Interestingly, the lady on the left in the first scene also played Mrs. Porter, Lucy’s maid, in an episode of “I Love Lucy”.

Looks like they have a different Gladys , I think the one in Pete and Gladys was very similar to a Lucy in character.
