A.B.A is the newest character in Guilty Gear Strive! In this video we review what type of character she is, her strengths and weaknesses, her attacks, and build out a basic gameplan with A.B.A!

Extremely good, feels like I’ve finally found my character. I reached (but lost) the celestial challenge for the first time with her, and her gameplan is just ridiculously fun to me. Only issue is when I’m out of jealousy meter at long range against a Faust or Axl
She feels fantastic. She released feeling good this time around unlike some of the others. I took a break from strive and booted up just to play her. Now I’m motivated to get back to celestial again because she’s so darned fun.
I personally love playing with ABA. But do you think there is a potential to have a Nago/HC situation where at first everyone thinks the character is bad but then realize how good they are?
I love the character, finally found a character that holds my attention. Do you agree with everyone thats saying she's low tier

Officially, in Japanese, Jealous Rage is called "Funshitsu Mode" so if you wanted to call it that you could, except that nobody in America would understand you. Honestly I think people are just gonna call it Moroha Mode even if it's not called that just because of previous games. I just call it Rage Mode.
For non japanese people it sounds like "fun shit mode" lol

Jump kick can be used from fast forward RC after a blocked 236K in normal mode to get a quick overhead in which leads into 2K, 2D, into 214H to quickly build some much needed meter in a pinch.

I like her! I'm getting addicted to the adrenaline rush of getting into install, makes the pain of her normal state worth it. I really wanna put time into her, but also I just started learning leverless tonight so maybe I should stick with my main for now.
It could also be a good chance to start with a fresh slate on a new character with no biases towards any particular style or habits. I'm trying to learn leverless as well.

@@sundevil34 I'll probably play her a bit, but it's also nice to have a solid understanding of my gameplan and what it looks like to enact it well. But yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't fully click with fightstick until I used it when Strive came out, having something with no muscle memory helped.

ABA was my reason for buying the game at all, same thing happened with XX and I ended up spending like 400 hours in that game

Great guide. I heard that the jump k in normal mode can be used to go directly to key grab, that's it's best function.

double key grab is pretty nice! Being able to convert f.S into 2H is actually kinda crazy lol
I think there is a big emphasis on keeping meter before it runs to 0. Stance switching often can be good and flowing in and out could make the difference between an ok aba to a good aba.
If you anti air with 2S you can enter yandere mode and combo after. The best I found was 276 damage

one really important thing about her normal 236k, it's frames on block depend on the point in the move it hits
from further away, she has a slight but important advantage
from closer range, it seems to just be -1 or something

Moving attacks (like NM 236K) are the most common example of meaty attacks.
If they only had 1 active frame, it would be *nowhere* as good.
I like using j.K for FRC overheads, dunno how practical that really is considering she already has good overheads and I could probably be using my meter better but it is just another thing I'd have under my tool box if I find the niche situation to use it in
13:35 If you’re at max range, go for menace and groan off 2K 2D then just switch into jealousy manually
When doing the combo at 33:16, its hard for me to bridge the 214k into 2k because they get knocked down. Any tips?
one very nice thing about normal A.B.A jumping Dust is that it hits the low profiles of 6P anti-airs, as it also is active until you land. It also hits crossup so it's not that bad(not good by any means).

How do you get all 15 colors for A.B.A. Colour Pack season 3 for 7,8,9,10. Anniversary Pack for 2 other ones. What about the rest? Can anyone help me out?
Call me crazy but if i remember correctly, she had a projectile before. I really hope they give it to her in a later patch or update just so she can have SOMTHING at range

I mean that's literally what they did is randomly make her yandere so yeah I'd say it's pretty fitting and a good meme to boot

I can't deal with ABA at at all. It's feels like she has a turbo version of Elphelt's Rekka, it just cycles from overhead to low at supersonic speed. I can't 5p it, I can't jump out of it, and it breaks block. How the hell do you deal with this?
Her rekka is actually mid -> low, you can block it standing then crouch after the first hit or just crouch block the whole thing and pray she doesn't go for 236K (even then though, that's only an overhead in moroha mode, it's a mid in base form)

I've found JK to be good as a safe jump on normal mode after you get a grab. Something I just do in case I have no meter to change stance. Besides that yeah I have not found a use for JK. Also I was surprised you didn't mention breaking the wall with K super is for when you wanna keep jealousy and have hkd after wall break. Love your vids man! 🎉
I think it gets overshadowed by j.S as the best Safejump button tho, maybe I’m wrong but j.S just seems so good

I love hc, I think I’ll pick this character up. Though I will say in online I swap to ky or sin because of the less convoluted combo structure, not that I can’t with chaos
