Thing is, I still need to pay for the core tier if I want to play online. I olay online every day so I need at least the lowest tier. With ultimate, I can play more than 400 games. Most of the games I olay right now are in ultimate. So at most I save 8$ every month I switch to core. But I really don’t mind paying 240$ every year for ultimate. It’s still less expensive than buying most of the games I would be playing. I played at least 25 games from ultimate this year. Right there I’ve probably saved a 1k.
@@84coti I agree with you, I’ve had my ultimate subscription since it launched but I really only liked it because it was $15. $20 is kind of a head scratcher but I also keep in mind the games that are about to come out. We have like 1-2 months until heaters start dropping so I’ll have a better opinion by the end of 2024

Being a full time carer for a family member I might get 1-2hrs every night to have a bit of me time gaming. Games pass ultimate isn’t worth the price for me because I wouldn’t get the benefit from it. When the price increase was announced back in July / August I decided to cancel my game pass subscription. I enjoy games like Destiny 2, Forza, F1 23, but I just don’t have time to really get into the game. Good video, keep up the great work. 👍🏼👍🏼

Just like many of you who have a video streaming subscription, like Netflix that cost more than $20 and you probably never use. But pay for it anyways for the family. I'll keep my GAMEPASS ULTIMATE GOING because I know down the line things will come that appeal to me. And I'll be ready. And playing BO6 for a subscription price over $70 and every COD after. Sign me up. GAME PASS is just being looked at as the red headed step child. They want someone to blame everything on the industry. It's not XBOX. ITS THE ENTIRE ECONOMY. Lot of kids just bandwagon and regurgitate what they hear.

You can be logged in on 10 devices at the same time including Xboxes and PCs my one account takes care of me my son my other Xbox in the bedroom my mother and PC gaming I believe a lot of people just don't know how to operate it
How do you do this? Once an account is logged in elsewhere, it asks you to log out at the either location and one can stay.

The answer is no. I'm letting my pre-paid Ultimate run out. Then I will treat Game Pass like any other subscription like Netflix. I'll wait until there is something I really want, then I'll drop a month's worth and binge to get my money's worth. GP just dropped F2P Overwatch 2 on their service ads their last game. Or its another "cozy" game. Like I'm done.
Use microsoft rewards. I havent paid for ultimate in 15 months. Literally all my games are free and free to play online.
I think they added Overwatch 2 cause u get a bunch of new and old skins for free (like they did with Valorant and unlocking all agents) plus u can now play it thru cloud gaming since it’s on GP

The only problem is when they raise the prices on all the other tears of online service / Game Pass they even raise the price for the 12-month standard online membership that you said now comes with 40 plus games I wish they were keeping it at $60 now the new price is supposed to be 75.00
If I play through one game a month I’m already coming out ahead. Plus it gives me a chance to try out games I would never even think about trying and I have found some real gems. Not really interested in the AAA games as much anyways. I Like the smaller games rather than the time sucks like a massive role playing game.

Game pass ultimate here in South Africa is like R200 ($12), which is like $12 it was R130($8) before. It still feels crazy expensive though. To the point where by it I'm using the GP standard's free trail. I think I'll have to downgrade permanently. The price increase is messed me up crazy.
In Australia it is $23 which is US$16....seems like Americans are paying a much higher premium than elsewhere in the world based on currency conversions, which is odd given US pricing is usually better than elsewhere in the world. I guess Xbox is less attractive outside the US

That is the release price and on xbox, how much will it be worth a few months ahead(specially if you compare with pc). Also games nowadays are so frickin overpriced, so much money for so little playtime (or repetitive).

You can share gamepass with one other xbox. You just have to set your home console to that other console. Then, the other users will have access to gamepass.

Before the deadline last week you could have gotten codes for 3mounths ultimate @$29 I maxed out mine last week at that price until Sep 27. Effectively making it $9.34 a month for me.
So basically now In the UK I pay £35 fibrë broadband and £20 gamepass so paying £55 just to play xbox pretty much seems crazy as even if u buy your games you still have to pay for çore just to use online multiplayer just sucks

Most new releases are now $70 now, that would be $240 divided by $70 which is roughly 3.5 games you need to play per year. If you dont came about "owning" your game and you play at least 4 new games each year it's worth it. So basically they went from 3 games to four games to get your value. PC Game pass would be my choice since I dont have a console, but I currently don't want a subcription service to play my games, I like to "own" my games. Plus, I already own many of the older games available on PC Game Pass.
No one is forcing you to get gamepass it allows me to test out games before I decide to buy them saves me money and time

I only buy my games. Mostly Physical. I had gamepass, but it got too expensive. So waiting for sales is a better option. Plus I can play them whenever I want, without having to worry they will be removed from gamepass. Because 9 out of 10 times, they will be removed the moment I want to play them.
First party games will never be removed from gamepass which is where all the good games are

I think the thing that a lot of people aren’t including in their analysis of this is the fact that ultimate includes live… so while ultimate seems like a lot at $20 a month, for a lot of people, it’s really only $10 a month. Because they would be paying $10 regardless for live.

Super tragic because I was a day 1 game pass ultimate member. It was mind blowing when they first rolled it out. I play on PC & Series X but I’ve been steering away from the Xbox PC app. Funny how they don’t include a tier higher than standard & force ultimate onto you. Not really interested in PC or Cloud, but would like the day ones

Well thank you for the information, as I decided to switch to the PC GamePass instead of Ultimate. I don't have any Xbox consoles, nor do I plan on getting one since I already have a fairly high end gaming laptop that costed me more than an Xbox anyways and is more versatile, and switching saves me $8 a month.

Ultimate is definitely worth it for me i saved a decent chunk of money on apex legends.
If it was just me I couldn't justify the price increase. However in my house there's myself and my 2 kids and between the 3 of us we play more than enough games to cover the cost of gamepass...for now. If/when we switch to PC gamepass will be a tough sell with the constant game sales on steam, etc.

I've been a game pass ultimate subscription owner since I got my first Xbox got the 360 and have a One S not planning to upgrade the series but I have started playing on my laptop now the value for has been the library of games because I have purchased the games I love SOD SOD2 Division 1 and 2 and all the Watchdog games are just a few but I've found some great game just because I can browse on a Friday night price for me it's the issue but the opportunity to play a lot of great games, it has been a quality purchase that when money was tight unfortunately I just stopped buying coffee from the Devil (LOL SB) thank you a great video

Well to play online at all youll still be paying 10$ so if your going to strictly play offline games it may not be worth it, but, If you play anything online your paying 10$ for online and 10$ for what gamepass offers. Its all in how you look at it.

I used the rewards to continue my ultimate subscription, and it looks like it started Me all over like I had no past in purchasing Ultimate. Using Ultimate mainly because I can use My games on Xbox, PC, and cellphone and do not use Game pass unless on cellphone. I want the Family plan or may really degrade for this price increase when they do not offer the really good games they promised a bit back.

I feel like Xbox should make online multiplayer free at this point. Like, if you're charging $240 a year that gives a bunch games and perks to ultimate subscribers. Then what's the point to charge for online play if Microsoft making enough money with game pass? I feel like this would help Microsoft in the console "wars". I let game pass lapse and lost all my games with gold that were mine to "own" so with that and the rest of the price hike greedy corporate nonsense I'm just done. I'll buy what I want to play on sale or if I'm excited about a game, which isn't very often anymore. My library is bigger than game pass anyway, about 800 games. Also they locked my online profile, without actually telling me why. I don't even play online ever , Microsoft just feels shady like a micromanager with peoples accounts and mindlessly greedy. Game Pass Ultimate is still a hell of a lot cheaper than owning a PlayStation console and buying overpriced games.
Except those PlayStation games are very good. That’s why I buy a month of game pass to try out the big games and then don’t pay for it for 6 months until the next game drops.

@@LittleBobbyTV I happened to buy Astro bot for $60 plus tax, got the platinum after 18 hours or so. Sure the game was pretty awesome, but I beat the game & now I have no interest in playing again. I’ve got 900 games that I don’t have interest in playing once I beat them anymore. there’s many people like me who just don’t play the same game over and over and over. That’s why it makes more sense just to rent games for $20 a month and save money vs buying games that you never gonna play again.

I will not play any of Activision or Bizziard's so-called games and the Game Pass catalog only ever has an average of one game a year (Starfield was the last that I don't already own) I would ever play but I play on both PC and Xbox One so it's not worth $20 a month for Ultimate nor is Standard, Core, or PC worth the prices without CDKeys 30%+ discounts to offset things
