I love it! I think of the 3 long years it took me to build my boat, by myself... When you have a sailboat you have a lot of friends, when you build a sailboat all those friends disappear. Until you get the new boat in the water and suddenly they appear again. It's like magic!
then when you haul out - hey they all goneski but when you splash they suddenly .......... yeh been there done that - lonely as a bastard on fathers day
I‘ve never seen an aluminum boatbuilder, so I‘m really enjoying those buildvideos 👌🏻👌🏻 Just rewatching this, to see how much has changed between the episodes
An ingenious solution to use pin welds in the pointed area. I wouldn't have thought of this solution. Plukky, your videos will also be a reference for self-builders in the future.
Same here bud, It's guys like us that know stuff about building stuff. Hell we don't read story books we read manuals. Funny to think that way as in,"" How to put things together.
Wow, Peter, you never fail to impress us with your dedication and progress on the Odisea 48. I can feel the excitement building as we watch and root for you every step of the way! Keep up the fantastic work, you're doing amazing! 🛥️⛵️🌊
Ok y'all I figured this out. Plukky really went to Europe for 2 weeks, flimed a lot, and snuck to Vietnam with a bunch of footage to release, and he's really been working on the boat for months. 😂 😆😂🤣 Seriously it's amazing how fast and very precise they are. I'm really impressed. And I'm happy to see that Vietnam didn't get left behind.
And to even think you where in Cuba just an island peter your pluckysaouras senses are tingling Vietnam is one of the greatest builders of aluminum and steel boats in the world
I never expected anything like this Plukky. I’ve watched several blogs where boat work or builds are being done. In the back of my mind is always the question of what happens after the hull and frame is finished. Great stuff. Thanks.
You might try a few uploads to rumble and see if the algorithm treats you better. I understand this is a good time to get going and build a following to add to your YT tribe. :) this seems like a neat project you got going@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM
I am absolutely amazed at the knowledge, experience and speed going into this catamaran build. Without a doubt the best of all the new TH-cam builds of late. Well done Plukky! What a team!!!!
Great to see the team, ultimately the build is their work, they are the most important part of making the boats over the company, buildings and the equipment. They obviously take pride in their work.
Hi Plucky i have been watching the Boaut being structured up to now and i am totally amased at how efficient its been done so far!!!! I have been to big factories where big construction machines are built !!!!!!!but this is crazy how fast its going in the manufacturing of the various Sub structure for the frame etc!!!!!! Going at this pace you will be on the water sooner than you think!!!!! Those guys efficiency really is impressive. I am totally mesmerised with the work and quality that is coming out of the factory!!!!!! I am watching from Germany and cannot wait to see the end product here!!!!! Please keep us updated all the way!!!!!! I am also so glad to see that you are comunicating with the Team so well and their enthusism to please you and explaining every inch of construction and the answers do make a lot of sence!!!!!! You have a great Xmas and a even greater New Year !!!!!!!! Keep up the good work and cant wait to see the end result!!!!! Kind regards Helmuth all the way from a freezing Germany !!!!!!
As a Machinist Molmaker in the Glass Buis. I welded Aluminum for 42 years. We Tig welded. Love the process in building your boat Peter. Very interestng. Burlington Bill busking in Arizona for the winter and on You Tube.
A TH-cam video sailor with a half broken boat, pulls it off to get himself a fantastic aluminium boat build in Vietnam. I don't no how Plucky did it, but my highest respect and congratulation. May the boat help you to fulfil your dreams and pleasure your viewership! Remembering what happened to your first catamaran, you should make this one unsinkable. Maybe by installing in the lower areas some airtight compartments or compartments filled with foam! Ask the shipbuilders if to make the boat unsinkable, it would be enough to just lay foamspray in the lowest areas of the two hulls, if thick enough that could do it I guess. I dream of building me a trimaran myself, and it must be unsinkable, or it misses something essential.
I wanna see how they flip over a big boat after building it upside down. That's gotta be an intense operation. Hope you're well Plukky. Buena suerte amigo, cuídate mucho. I can't say it in Vietnamese. And the Vietnamese I learned from my dad and uncle might not be appropriate. 😂.
Looks like Odisea Catamarans know their boat building Facts. Your build videos and Elcano World Challenge are a win win for both the builder and buyer, more sales for Odisea and more views for Peter, it's all good.
Love that the insiders tips you are sharing (butt welds and all). Awesome craftsmen you got there Peter. Sure seems that that you are going to get one heck of a well-built boat then they are done.
Mate , just thinking when this vessel is completed, anyone would think , oh its just another catamaran, not all that strong more like an inshore vessel. BUT , when seeing the integrity of the frames, stringers, bulkheads being assembled with out the skin on. That's when you realise, this is a freaking serious ocean going passage maker my friends. This vessel breaks all the rules and stereotype of what a catamaran used to be. This thing is going to be tougher than the titanic. Teal will be watching this build series with alot of anticipation jealousy and envy . So I'm gathering Adonis worked at Austal. Anyway , this vessel is going to be pinnacle of family size passage making cats. Well done to the team at Odisea Catamatans
Plucky this is quality footage 🤵🏆 You need to play that song 🎵 I am so excited and I just can’t hide it 🎵🎵 Have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic 2024 , we are so happy to see you very happy 😃🐬🐬⛵️
Powerful classic music for that opening bit…… Perfect choice. I’m still betting they have the skeleton done by New Year’s Day. What do the pro’s there say? …or you having to wait on materials?
I love this channel. 👏I'm so impressed by the skills of the workers and the shipyard. When they refer to a standard/class society document shown, was that a Vietnamese variant or any other? Which plug weld procedure was he shared? -I'm just curious about the subject of welding in my learning. Cheers, and keep up sharing this fantastic build.
The speed of progress is great, but maybe if they were not building two boats there would be material to keep working on yours. It's not so hard to estimate material orders from plans, backorder materials is another thing though. Who else thinks that they will be doing the interior fit out by the second quarter of 24??!!!€¥~#$@ CHEERS and merry Christmas all Steve h.
Hi Peter!! Merry Christmas from 🇺🇸 Really looking good, can you tell us what the budget is and what is the current level of funding is at? You know, sort of a graphic like a thermometer 🌡️. This may encourage donations. Cheers

These guys are on fire. I'm starting to agree with you that Vietnam will soon be the new shipbuilding power house.
Sailing LaVagabonde had their Tri-Maran built in Vietnam too.
I love it! I think of the 3 long years it took me to build my boat, by myself...

Just rewatching this, to see how much has changed between the episodes
I think we need more of a little piece of Timelapse of the progress in every episode, in my opinion
Thank you Plukky and Odisea❤ for allowing Plukky to share the build of this beautiful catamaran
Nothing better than highly skilled workers and great attitudes
An ingenious solution to use pin welds in the pointed area. I wouldn't have thought of this solution.

Looking good, brother! I want a ride when it's done :)
Amazing just how fast these guys build and to hear that if all the alloy was there it would go even faster.
Ok y'all I figured this out. Plukky really went to Europe for 2 weeks, flimed a lot, and snuck to Vietnam with a bunch of footage to release, and he's really been working on the boat for months. 😂 😆😂🤣
