I have never seen anyone bench bleed a MC without using a bleeder kit. For $6 you could avoided the mess, reduced chances for air to enter the system, and not wasted all that fluid that went spewing everywhere in your video. That was a hot mess.

What are the two lines that are attached to the master cylinder called? And where do they feed to? One of the lines’ nut closest to the brake booster is stripped and is crossed threaded

hi mate!! excellent vid! i have a question as a mate just had new master cylinder by a mechanic, and not sure if new master was bench bled before install, is it important to bleed on the bench before install??

Did this jeep have ABS? Wondering why you didn't use part #68057474AE ? Thanks

Remove the master cylinder and check if the brake fluid is leaking down into the brake power booster.

What is the purpose of bleeding at the master cylinder once you reinstall if you are going to then go bleed at the calipers? Why not just skip that and bleed at the calipers?

      Brandon Booth for time saving

Yeah, I don't get that either. Especially since he said he would bleed up top so he wouldn't have to bleed at the calipers.

Because you run the risk of introducing too much air through the ABS system- and that's never a good thing.

Thank you for this video. I have the same issue with my JK 2014 jeep! Just wondering is there another way to bleed the Master Cylinder (if I don't want to use my fingers?) Is it just to get pressure to be equal from both chambers?

Mount the new master securely in a vise as he did, install brake bleeder screws onto the new master cylinder, attach tight fitting hoses onto the bleeder nipples and run the two hoses directly back into the brake reservoir. Fill the reservoir with brand new fluid from a sealed container, secure the ends of the hoses so they always stay submerged in the fluid, operate the master all slowly all the in until it stops- continue this process until no more air comes bubbling out of the hoses. Close the bleeder valves (you'll be removing them later), install the master into the vehicle, remove the bleeder screws with a rag underneath- Then follow the bleeding procedure demonstrated here.

Hi my friend can I replace the long hard brake line from the rear driver side in my home ?

I have a 95 GMC Sierra that when I press the brake it sounds like air is escaping. Is that the master cylinder or brake booster?

      brake booster

I would check the suction hose from booster to the engine (maybe it's corroded/cracked, especially near the engine it could be very loose on the nob). Secondly, maybe get someone in the car pressing the brake pedal to try to pinpoint the source of the noise. Check for leaks while there. Are the brakes stiff, or are you just not happy with the noise it makes? Best thing is to get under the hood and feel it around. I hope that helps. Thank you.
