I have them also and I find them better then polychromo or prismacolor. The only problem I have with them is that some of the light colors, like the light blue are not as soft.
Lucy those pencils look like they could be Polychromos dupes, they look gorgeous! That's such a generous gift to receive from Kevin. I can't wait to see what you color with them.
These are one of my favorite pencils, but it took me a few times to fall in love. They play nice with Prisma and Poly Chromos, my two work horse pencils. I ADORE their grays, I will always use their grays above any other brand because they are simple, lay down smooth and silky and layer and blend well without muddying up my picture. The colors are very pure and saturated so they are easy to mix, tone, tint or shade to get what I want. I got the box set on Amazon for a steal and about a week before the price doubled.
Lucy, I just received these pencils. I know from Emmacolours 2020 that they are oil based, and there is a gray set that finishes up the set. I do hope to see you use them on a page soon. I hope to play with them this month.
Hi from the U.S. really enjoyed your video. Have had these pencils for ages and used them once. Can’t remember what they are like. Now you made me want to take them out and use them again. Thx a lot. By the way I also hate the heat. I am in Missouri now, lived in Florida for 30 yrs (terrible summers). We have a week of heat this week also - yuck. It makes me feel squishy! Take care.
These are very nice, though something completely different than other brands. They have a pastel-y, sort of powdery feel to them, dont you think? Happy for you Lucy, enjoy them!
Also they have added 5 more colours to the set 195 light warm Grey, 196 silver Grey warm, 197 medium Grey warm, 198 dark Grey warm and 199 soft black. I bought these open stock to add to my set. Cheers Waving from Australia 🇦🇺😁
These were my first and only good set of artists pencils. LOVE them. Lyra have 78 colours in the range, you'll be able to get them as a grey set. They have warm greys in there as well as the ones you already have plus black and white. I started with the 36, loved them so much I got the rest open stock. I believe they are oil pencils, and are made in Germany just like the Polychromos. They are a very old brand of pencil. My sister has 12 Super Ferby's, they are the same core in a huge barrel, thicker core size and worth buying too.
Thankfully I purchased these a couple of years back when they were a bit lower in price. I like the way they lay down - one of my favorites. They are an oil pencil by the way.
My first "big" set of pencils, I got them during lock down in 2020. I absolutely love them still
I have many pencil sets, ranging from cheap and cheerful to the ridiculously expensive. These are my absolute favourites.
I have them also and I find them better then polychromo or prismacolor. The only problem I have with them is that some of the light colors, like the light blue are not as soft.

They are most definitely not Polychromos dupes.
Like most it lacks in browns but the greens.wow.love it

I have a set on the way.can hardly wait.
I've been trying to decide if I should add this set to my collection; yes, yes I should and shall! Thank you for switching! Take care 💜
I really need these now after your wonderful swatching video - I really haven’t got enough colouring pencils - LOL. Nighty night from Melbourne ❤️🌼🌸

Kevin is a diamond! I love these pencils. They are very nice.
I really hope your camera is not well focussed because otherwise my eyes are worse today than I thought they were and today has been a blurry day.
Lucy I adore your swatching videos! I get so excited about the colors, just as you do. Congratulations on this gorgeous new set of pencils. 💕💕💕

Hey Lucy
Have a look at how similar the numbers are between them and the polys. Spooky👻
Great video can't wait for a colour along.

Hi Lucy, I bought a set of Polycolour a while ago. They work well with Derwent lightfast and Shriperier Farben . Excuse the spelling. Lol.
Whew, I already have these. 🤣
