I figured out how to get to the higher route in Spring Yard as Sonic. There is a U shaped pit with a moving spike ball pretty close to the pathway, so jump from the highest moving platform above the pit into the left side of the U, which gives you enough height to make it.

Yeah i beat all of time attack in 21 minutes and the achievement still won't unlock
