Sparta at 10:30 deserves more love. The level of awareness this guy showed was stellar and is someone I would want in my HC group. People can call out to get teammates healed, but it is another step to try to DO something about it. I would probably not trust any of those people capable of healing.
i have not gotten to that part yet. but i do remember me as a hunter back in the original tbc. i was mister awareness. while i was doing my usual dps. i was also doing cc on 2 mobs at the same time (keeping them perma stunned with traps and scatter shot and other things) i would keep an eye on the healer at all times and distracting shot or atleast do whatever i can to pull aggro off him if any ad moved towards the healer. i'd be doing off healing with first aid. (at the right times so that it's not just a single tick) i'd warn people of getting too close to aggro radius. and (in hardcore it doesn't matter ofcourse) i even remember a raid where the entire raid died. (40 people) and i was the only one who survived with my feign death. and i used goblin jumper cables to revive a healer. who then rezzed others and we could bring back the whole raid. instead of having to start over because of respawns.
That DMF cannon is very hard. You have to click off the buff at the right moment to land in the target, and since you have a lot of horizontal velocity it's not as simple as clicking it off when you're directly overhead. The target isn't large and if you miss (or you don't even try) then you die. It's a funny minigame normally but in HC it's brutal.
You need to click it off as you approach the water shore, then you hit it bag in the centre of the target. Sadly you still get nothing so this is really a loose, loose, loose in this scenario.

Imagine dying to drowning in the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus of all places where the water is like 3 feet deep. The healers not healing the tank after the fight, I think what happened was their loot window was covering their entire screen, Atheaa looked like she was oom, but Dag AND the shaman both had the mana to make sure he didn't die.
One thing about being a healer in HC, you need a core group. There are so many healers at DM, you can't even pug a group. Once you hit 40, you will get endless whispers from full groups who need heals. At that point some dumb ass hunter or mage has killed all the healers sending them back to DM. If you are a healer you need a core group that will reroll with you if you die as heals. Never go in a dungeon with a PUG.
The problem is even if you know this stuff as a tank and call it out before people will be like "this is easy of course we would heal if you have dots on you, just let me play the game." As a tank in hc i have seen so many healer dc's random wands into big pulls, trolls activating more candles, peoppe doublepulling by accident as they are impatient. Etc
Honestly I feel like the fact that the game practically plays itself (addons, guides, macros, ect. all built-in and at your finger tips) is a big reason why so many people, especially high level characters, die for dumb reasons. It's caused too many people to basically play on autopilot instead of actually learning to play the game effectively.
I'll never understand why people stop and sigh in relief when they get away at 1hp. Dude. You're at 1hp. YOU'RE NOT SAFE YET! HEAL YOURSELF! And then a random mob or dot finishes them off.

I am leveling a hunter as a second character. Level 20 right now but it's really chill (read: dull) but it is easy and you can kind of afk it to a certain extent. Most mobs don't even require anything more than send pet and autoshot. I am doing it whilst watching videos, it's really laid back leveling.

If you are shadow while leveling flash heal is often the correct heal to spam. Also once you have 350+ healing a downranked flash heal is your go to for everything with some few exceptions: Mana intensive fights (sapphiron) or extremely predictable damage (onyxia, patchwerk) where you would rather use downranked greater heal, AOE damage fights where you spam POH like Vael or Pure HPS fights where you spam max rank flash heal instead.

I think people forget the real cost of a potion is the cooldown. Keeping lower level ones wastes bag space and sets you up to make the wrong choice. Plus, they are dirt cheap.

My naked Warrior died today. lvl 43. Because ranged Dragon-welp plus net-throwing guy were pulled around the corner. Didnt know that net-throwing dwarf-mob and went down fast. My last attempt at turtle-Hardcore. Simply takes waay too much Time. Sadge.. but considering i had to go for 17 more lvls, maybe a Blessing too. Also i absolutely think it is possible to finish the naked Warrior Turtle-Blacksmith-run, if you know the mobs. Its hard, but not at all impossible. In fact at this Position i could have reached 60 just and only by killing neutral turtles in Tanaris.

The thing with water in vanilla is you need jump above it in order to make your breath gage reset, this being different from retail which is what gets people killed. Also them mages are terrible. If the mob you are fighting is hitting you melee you are doing something terrible wrong as a mage.

Remember to level your defense skill. Makes those hits that eat your hp bar away, easier to heal through.
Same with the different weapons… so when you get that ‘Upgrade’ you actually hit the target as a tank.
Also unarmed skill. So when you get disarmed, you can do some kind of dps.@@wobblysauce

When I saw that scattershot at 3:58 I immediately got reminded of how we'd call hunters as huntards in WoW vanilla and why they were so deserving of that nickname.
You would know like one hunter that knows how to play their class (or two at most) within 2 years of playing the game and you would remember them well, not for being exceptional players, but just for the paradox of being a hunter player and not be "MOM I POOPED MY PANTS" level of stupid.
you know priests have the potential to be the biggest roaches of them all. if even one of them would realize how useful the fade spell is in these exact situations where the healer pulls aggro... it hurts me as a priest main to see these priests die in dungeons to aggro man
it's not a full drop, so if none else have any real amount of aggro on a mob fade does nothing
