Thank you for a good review, its nice to see your channel growing. I would add that snipers have quite warm colors. 1.2 bokeh+warm colors+lack of sharpness contributes to that "dreamy look". I really liked it, it is especially good for some videos. Autofocus is really useful when you record your content alone. I bought 23mm sniper and I was so happy with the results that I also bought 56.
I noticed the warm colors but I thought that was just my idea!! Awesome that you could confirm it for everyone reading comments. Definitely like the warmer colors, since so many low budget lenses have a weird green or magenta tint or simply have washed out color's. Editing the pictures and the videos with the Sirui lenses was smooth
If you get these lenses make sure you get the Firmware update to the latest version. I have teh Fuji ones and they work so much better with the new firmaware update. I love the look they render.
If you plan on doing it professionally then yes it's a good idea to invest early in full frame glass. I personally have 2 full frame lenses. If not then apsc is more than enough. Cheaper and smaller
I was in the same dilemma once. After a lengthy revie of both, the Nikon 24-120 f4 S lens is a versatile, sharp, fantastic, enjoyable, and almost perfect choice. It has good balance and quickness. Of the 12 lenses I have for my Z6, Z7 II, and yes, D650 (with adapter), this lens is my go-to. Do not worry about the price as it will pay for itself time after time. I suggest renting one for a week before purchasing to assure it is to your liking. You will not be disappointed.
Never found the time to do it man sorry! But the sirui is the softer out of the viltrox and Nikon lenses. The Nikon has the slowest Auto focus though. Viltrox and sirui are faster in terms of auto focus and in terms of aperture. I personally kept the viltrox 23mm out of all of them. F1.4 is the sweetspot and it's sharp enough for video and photo work. But if you want the most magical images , the sirui is definitely the best option with that f1.2 aperture . If you want the most sharpness wide open and the smallest lens then the Nikon 24mm 1.7 is the right option. Keep in mind after f2.8 all three lenses are really sharp.
@@IliasKoureas No worries thanks for replying! Is the viltrox really that much sharper than the Sirui for you to keep it in expense of the extra brightness? They are practically the same price in my country (11k) but the Nikon is more expensive at 16k but the size and close focusing is tempting me.
These Surui lenses seem like nice propositions. I thought about supporting their Kickstarter but I already own the Viltrox F1.4S. Thanks for your review
In my opinion it is worth saving some more money and go for the excellent sigma f1.4 primes. They are much sharper from wide open and up to the corners.
If sharpness is a top prioritry , thats the right choice! I have a friend who always creates dreamy and film-like images with his editing so he is picking softer lenses
A shame there is no aperture control ring. Looks like they are primarily good for the video content creator market. I was noticing these seem to have some flaring issues as well.
Many user's care about the lack of the aperture ring which is understandable. Good thing is that there is a lot of completion in this price point. I haven't noticed any major flaring issues and I'm using them 2 months straight.
Credible review, Ilias. If you did not say you are Greek, I’d think from your energetic hand gestures, you were Italian. (Old joke - how to silence an Italian - tie his hands😊.) Are there lens profiles in LR for these lenses? Is there weather sealing? Is the AF noisy? Do the lenses come in black instead of white? More discrete, IMO. Now you’ve managed to insult Canon users - nice😊. Cheers!
They are our neighbours so we definitely took a few things from them 😂 Will check about the LR profiles and let you know!! There is no weather sealing as far as I'm aware You can hear the autofocus motor if you are close to the lens so your cameras microphone might pick it up. Lastly these lenses also come in silver and black as well 💪 Cheers mate 🍻
They re great with sony but i can see them working even better with fuji cameras and their film simulations especialy on video just because of the combination of the colors and softness. Would love to see something like that
Im sorry about the few glitches dont know how that happened. Also the two pictures at 15:48 with the worker and the car tire are taken with the 56mm

Thanks for the tip!! Will do it asap
They look well made lenses and gave good results on your test but I would opt for the Viltrox as they have the aperture ring on for the Fuji XT.
Every Fuji shooter I know uses the aperture ring on the lenses , meanwhile I never do that 😂
@@IliasKoureas You have the PASM dial and the dial in aperture thing, which I could do but the analogue system is so intuitive, sheer delight. LOL
Would it not be a good idea to buy full frame lenses when you can over crop sensor in case you upgrade in future?

@@IliasKoureas if I'm honest, I probably have zero need for the full frames, but I am a chronic upgrader and I know myself
Please helpme, i want a zoom for My z30 and i thing in 2 option, in firts place it's nikon 24-120 and they second option it's nikon 24-200 ?
There's also the 18-140 DX. That's what I personally would choose because of the wider focal length

If you haven’t bought it yet, take a look at the new tamron 28-75 f2.8
Thanks these lensed are for night or low light
Yes they are awesome for lowlight!
I’ll be testing my Sirui 23mm f1.2 in Thessaloniki in April for night street photos!
You should , its awesome!
Still waiting for that 23/24mm comparison!

If someone has already the viltrox lenses then these are just an overkill. But it's great that we get so much competition 😁

Nice review and great photos as well 🔥
Thank you Shaun!
Thoses lenses looks awesome, around 1100€ for the trio is really fair for 3 1.2 lenses with AF
They are definitely great , I've never seen 1.2 lenses so affordable with AF

I'm not gonna lie if I didn't have the 24 1.7, I'd be picking up that 23 1.2.
Yeah, if you have the 24mm the 23 is Overkill
