  • Julia Hartley-Brewer talks to Will Jones of the Daily Sceptic to delve into the controversial topic of Covid lockdowns.
    The two discuss the recent statements coming from Boris Johnson and Chris Whitty admitting they're now unsure whether the Covid lockdowns actually helped to stop the spread of the virus.
    Will does try to be fair handed on Boris's decision-making, but ultimately states that the buck stopped with him, and argues that the lockdowns were authoritarian in nature.

      They did it because the public allowed it.
      I spoke out on my social media account, the replies were disturbing.

    Remember, and never forget, Boris Johnson selected the totally wrong Health Act, the Health Act that was meant for an individuals judge dealing with an individual person and their home.
    The other Act, that he turned down, is the Health Act that is specifically designed for global pandemics.
    Of course, the wrong Act, because of its nature, requires absolutely no parliamentary scrutiny.
    The Health Act designed for global pandemics provides the government with 7 days of supreme power, and then monthly parliamentary scrutiny, repeated every month.
    Johnson basically halted parliament and with it any parliamentary scrutiny, that is to say he ended democratic accountability.
    The question also to be asked is why parliament went along with it, knowing that the wrong Health Act was chosen, which by shutting down parliament was totally unlawful. Also, every ridiculous police enforced rule linked to the very strange virus, was therefore unlawful, which is why judges were unable to really apply judicial punishment.
    And remember further, Johnson would have had the finest minds in the country. Would they really have told him to use the wrong Health Act, knowing it was unlawful?

  • @suekimpton7874
    @suekimpton7874 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

    No, it was part of a bigger picture yet to be told to us as to why because if you look at the list of all pandemics we have had - there was no cause for world closure and should never happen again.

    It's good to Johnson and Whitty now saying some of the right things many of us were saying at the time. However, I'm sick of hearing this "we didn't really know that much, we were being pressured...." attitude. NO! It's time you came out PUBLICALLY on National TV, make a heartfelt APOLOGY and offer RESISTUTION to all those who were harmed by lockdowns, stock excusing your post actions and EAT HUMBLE PIE!

    I like talk, but COVID is like 9/11. A subject the press just won't let go of years and years ago. Millions on enquiries and just talk. Utter bs when the press and bored advisors have nothing to do. If not out of respect, just move on .

    Don't forget that at the Inquiry, Chris Whitty also clearly said that, without the careful training hospital staff get, the use of masks is useless. This, too, was known beforehand if he had been honest at the time.
