In this exclusive feature with The Coaches' Voice, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers gives a fascinating and in-depth insight into his journey as a coach.
Having made the decision to end his playing career at a young age, Rodgers developed a passion for coaching and embarked upon his first qualifications while working full-time, bringing up a young family and studying how clubs such as Barcelona and Ajax developed their young players.
Here, Rodgers talks about his pathway through the academies at Reading and later Chelsea, where he worked alongside José Mourinho. He then reveals the story behind his first step into senior management, before talking about the challenges faced by head coaches in an ever-changing football landscape.

This man has been brilliant ever since arriving at our club, there's a true admiration from our fanbase for Brendan and i think most of us know just how lucky we are that he is managing us.

To me still one of the best managers in lfc... Though we won nothing. Ofcos klopp is our boss but I think given the patience by the board and the players he wanted. He will do just fine. #justsaying
i'm very happy for this man. watch him as a Liverpool coach (also TV show Being Liverpool). Then i know, that he has move to Celtic. Now he's at good club.

U can but its extremely difficult....u should have a background in semi pro football atleast
@@anirudhmenon9099 i dont think it is you just have to get all your coaching badges and while you are getting it you have to get hands oon experience so volunteer to coach grassroot teams and work your way up and once you get your b or a liscence you can apply to coach proffesional academy teams like the man ut u17 and then you can make your way up from their academy to coach a pro level.
@@anirudhmenon9099 it is just alot more work than for someone who previously played. it can take like 10-15 years before you finally coach a pro team
