You dont need to take the intake/S/C off to replace this. I just broke off the 3 tabs you can get to with a angled pick, lift it up and push back towards the intake, that will release the remaining 3 tabs and you can pull the cover out. Once the cover is out the orange rubber diaphragm can be pulled out--dont yank it out, there is a spring that needs to stay in the valve cover. Place the new diaphragm on the spring and press it down into the valve cover with 1 hand and slip the cover in place with the other hand. As long as the diaphragm is roughly where it belongs the plastic cover can be pushed down evenly and snapped in position. The front 3 clips are easy enough to seat, I used a large flat tip screwdriver between the intake and the rear cover to pry down and seat the rear most clips. Then use a inspection mirror to make sure you see the same amount of orange in the gap between the cap and valve cover housing. It really only took about 5 minutes of fiddling to get it back on.
I spent the morning taking off both airboxes and cleaning/inspecting the MAFs after getting both codes on my 2017 F-Type. Didn’t fix the rough idle or codes. Then, I happened upon your video and checked my PCV diaphragm. There was a small 1/4 tear in it. I ordered the part, now just waiting for it to come in. Thanks for making this video. Putting the old one back in was a bit of a pain though, since it's a tight squeeze between the body of the PCV housing and the supercharger to get that cap back on with a spring in it.
Landrover veteran of 20 years, never seen thos before in my life....I have idle air control fault code P0507 and the 2 lean codes 2187 and 2189..... weve installed both upstreak 02s and swapped 2 known good MAFs and reset PCM adaptions....still irregular idle and lean codes ....last ditch effort saw your video and brought the veh in and removed the pcv valve and low and behold the diaphragm is torn.....
@@jimroshan8962 There is another video on TH-cam that walks through process step by step. Just search Range Rover and PCV Replacement. I have to do mine this weekend.
Hello, check Engine light is back on with the same code P2187 I change the PVC 4 days of driving the same code came back up what now. 2015 Ranger Rover Sport HSE.
Trying to figure out how to pull off vaccum hose that sits over the valve. Do you prey it off or squeeze the plastic connector and pull off? Dont want go break the hose connector.
Question: I have a 2016 LR4. I don't see the PCV in the same spot on mine. My mechanic said they have to remove the supercharger to change it out for an ominous price. I want to do it myself but can't find a video... Help?
Had a CE light this morning, and had same code! My HST had a rough idle and acting up pretty good. Do you think this is the issue? Appreciate the help.

Had this happen right now so wierd. It only shows only bank one though , and my rpm on cold start was at 3k was very wierd
Mine says lean on bank 1 when idle do you think its pcv?
I changed the sparkplugs and did a smoke test as well no leaks at all.
