Jammuites, ladakhis, and Kashmiris have been ignored for decades and our government has just kept them surrounded by CRPF as if they're in some prison. Their loved ones have been killed by some psychotic army person or civilian for decades. Our news media shows none of this. We just get "Normalcy, normalcy" BS. I'm sure they think we hate them because who would keep their loved ones surrounded by armed forces for decades and be seen as bad when they voice their experiences.
There's so much uncertainty of whether their father, mother, brother, sister will be back home safely once they leave for work. I can understand why they hate our government. Corruption and propaganda .
Plus, Pakistanis keep showering them with love and support while our government does this to them. Of course they'll blindly follow Pakistanis. If Pakistanis tell them to jump off the highest bridge, they would do it because the love only comes from there.
My Kashmiri connections I love so strongly, but with all this happening to them and their families for decades, it hurts deep down that I can't change the past or do anything about making things better or getting the government to see how much they've screwed up. It will always be unrequited love when it comes to Kashmiris. I'm only human, they don't seem to understand why these words hurt so much. They're like daggers.

Thanks Mr. Nehru for landing us in this mess. Contrary to what Indian right wing believe, Sardar Patel was not keen for Kashmir to accede to India as he had foreseen nothing but trouble. Mr. Nehru wanted Kashmir to join India as it was his ancestral land.
He decided to control Kashmir through Sheikh Abdullah who followed his self vested interests, introduced article 370 which bind us to Kashmir as an "integral part". Kashmir had separatist tendency the very day it acceded to India in 1947 and has complicated history with Indian government. Because of article 370, we can't divide state into- Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh which is most logical thing. We are legally bound to keep Kashmir as part of India because of 370 and use any level of force necessary to do so. That's sad irony.
