Cyclists led by the Firefly Brigade ride along car-free roads on Sundays, including Emerald Avenue in Pasig City, a portion of Mayflower Street in Mandaluyong City, Ayala Avenue in Makati City, and a section of Roxas Boulevard in Manila in observance of World Car-Free Day on September 22, 2024.
Individuals and cities are encouraged to shift from a car-centric culture to one that prioritizes safer transportation, where pedestrians, commuters, and cyclists are prioritized.
