We welcome you to a new tour of Marbella! Today we will visit part of its promenade and its historic center.
Marbella is a city and municipality in southern Spain, belonging to the province of Malaga (it is located 60 kilometers from the capital of Malaga), in Andalusia. It is located on the shores of the Mediterranean, between Malaga and the Strait of Gibraltar, and at the foot of the Sierra Blanca. Marbella is one of the most important tourist cities on the Costa del Sol and in all of Spain. During most of the year it is a center of attraction for international tourism thanks mainly to its climate and its tourist infrastructure.
The 27 km of coastline in the municipality of Marbella are divided into 24 beaches of different characteristics, although, due to the urban expansion of the municipality, they are all urban or semi-urban beaches. In general, these are beaches with moderate waves. The degree of occupancy is usually high or medium, especially during the summer months, when the arrival of tourists is concentrated.
The traditional gastronomy of Marbella is that of the Malaga coast and is based on fish. The most typical dish is the fried fish, which can be made with anchovies, horse mackerel, red mullet and squid, among others, as well as sardine skewers made in boats and over a wood fire.
