It would be nice if you would recognize more then just cobra and a select other brand of firing system... while all of us are pyrotechnics lovers through and through not all of us can justify buying one of those systems as expensive as they are to use them a few times a year when the other systems work just the same as they do... thankfully not all places selling aop products require people to have one of the brands you require... glad to see some new content Dave 😀
Check out the P1200 control desk from PyroBoom. Love that system

Recently came across the existence of your AOP training certification, why does the ignite system not qualify? Works essentially the same as and is made by cobra, not all of us can afford or justify the expense of a Cobra or equivalent system just to shoot a 1 or 2 shows a year.
Just take a pgi class then you can buy AOP products from any store and use any firing system you want. I think it's kinda weird to not accept ignite either especially since its made by cobra. But like I said you can just get an actual pgi certification and use whatever firing system you want.
@@FiBTL18 if only it was that easy, there are no pgi classes anywhere near me. I don't necessarily need anything to buy from my normal spot, been going there forever, but it'd be nice to get something as far as certification, so I don't have to worry about it
@Dave Lewis you usually have to drive some If you're not lucky to have one close. I drove over 3hrs to take mine. And some people in my class came 9hrs from 2 states over. Got to do what you got to do. I can say it was definitely worth the drive out. Lots of cool pyro and people 😎 👌
@@FiBTL18 2 or 3 hours I could do, people are more dedicated than me, I'm not driving 9 hrs LoL. I'm in SC, classes in Pa, oh, wi, MI, not happening. Local store is considering holding a class, he's got someone that will teach it, hopefully that happens.
@Dave Lewis that sounds like a plan, if he doesn't check out other local stores, a good bit of them will hold some forum of training class that will suffice for buying AOP. That's your best bet If you can't make it to a pgi display operator course.
Can you get an ATF license if you rent your home? On the application form 'rental' has an asterisk but no info that references it. Nice vid BTW.
You need to join a pyrotechnic guild and get enough training under a display operator. Once you have enough the operator will sign off to take your display operator test. You need a 70 percent to pass. After that then you apply for a type 54 license. You won’t even be considered without the above mentioned on your application
@@detonationpyrotechnics4156 thanks for the info
@@detonationpyrotechnics4156 As someone who got their Type 54 without doing any of the above there's not any proof to what you said. The ATF doesn't care if you have any experience in lighting off fireworks - same way they dont care if you have any experience with guns prior to getting a license.
That place has become one of the biggest rip offs when it comes to purchasing wholesale fireworks. Those prices they have now are even higher than retail
Just like most stores prices are high so when you get the discount they can still make out and you think you're getting a deal. The prices aren't bad if you're in the top discount tier and stack it with a coupon. But other then that I've seen comparable and cheaper prices with no discount.
Their prices look like a rip-off on the surface until you factor in the discounts. If you have the platinum tier (20%) + the 15% discount + the ability to buy 1.4 pro products (so you can buy bare canister shells), it ends up being way cheaper than even my local wholesale suppliers. They also don't charge sales tax to out-of-state residents, and that alone is another 10-15% effective discount.
