I used some colored sand that i got at the dollor store and mixed it in with the acrylic paint i used on my course. I also got a 50lb bag of all purpose grave at home depot washed it and glued it down all over. looks good Tony i like the large hill, know that i have mine at a point of use i do wish i did a little better job but its is in my house in my studio so it is what it is. Looking forward to see what you do with it.
make it way harder than you think you need to, spent a week on mine and with the right tires it feels too easy so I had to add some gates to bump up the difficulty
I suggest blasting media - aluminum oxide or crushed walnut. Coat the surface in pva glue, spread the grit, then paint after it dries (or paint first since pva dries clear)
Looking good, you have inspired me to make my own crawler course in a similar style with the plaster wrap. Something I did was use Gesso primer paint to fill in all the little holes from the plaster. Gesso is a really thick primer, it's what they use for the base layer of paint canvases! Excited to see your results and time for me to get back to painting! ❤️
Hi Tony, I have the SCX 24 no pick up and I was wondering what shocks should I put on it reason being is I put some weight in it and the shocks really bad now.
Those mini mountains are getting awesome

Coming along nicely, I like the spray texture idea and I think you’ll like that texture paste stuff 👌🏻🤙🏻
Looks really good! Yeah, the wall was a good idea, too..just not the mess.

Nice looking course you need to add a couple of bridges were the sections meet that would look cool and blend them together
Such a sick setup! Love the idea of a modular setup to rearrange for different lines! Can’t wait to see the final product and first run!🤙🏻
Very cool Tony👍
Awesome vid Rcfam 👊🏾😎 I didn’t see any left hand turns 💪🏾🤪
No left-handed driving either
Looking awesome dude!
Suggestion: shred some old rc tires, and spread the rubber around for texture.
Bob Ross would be proud of you....
I might have to wait until summer to build mine outside. Indoor is not available to me lol
