I'm in America, on the east coast, it's late, I'm tired, I'm in bed and I'm looking through a small window the size of my cell phone at the world passing by aboard a bullet train somewhere in Japan. Amazing.
Dang that's a lot of houses and buildings. Mile after mile after mile after mile. So many houses and businesses, how do you know when you have left one city and entered a different city? That's just one side of the train! I am truly blown away at the constant houses and buildings. Never in my life have I seen so many. @ 2:27:10, top speed in America.
majority of japan’s land is covered by mountains so people get crammed into open flat lands. Nowadays with increased population, many cities or even prefectures (sort of like mini states) don’t have visual boundaries. When there is one its either a river, ocean or a mountain (tunnels if you see from Shinkansen), but never an open land (except maybe Hokkaido prefecture which has too much snow which makes it unsuitable for many things including just living…)

Yes I really enjoyed the trip. The green card (a.k.a Japan Rail Pass) is valid for 7days with a price tag of ¥38,880 nett. Very spacious luggage compartment as the green card is actually 1st class ticket. Hope the info would help 😃

one day, I hope to start my first train trip, in Tokyo. Riding the Hikari Super Express from Tokyo to Osaka, out of platform 11, where the first train left. I also hope to visit a railway museum and see different train displays and get up close with the 0 series! Japan is the greatest train operator that easily surpasses our country of the USA, never late!

Hikari super express travel around 260, i heard nozomi travel even faster?? Should be around 360 an hour!
"NOZOMI" is faster than "HIKARI". Nozomi is stopped only few stations than Hikari. Nozomi and Hikari have same maximum speed 285km/h on TOKAIDO SHINKANSEN LINE.

I almost got arrested for trying to video my trip home from New York to Connecticut.
I did not get permission when I take a train movie. But the crew ask me to stop a taking video, I follow it.
You mean they didn't notice you for the entire 2 hours before they asked you to stop?
I did this exact tour, Osaka-Tokyo, same train, same everything. Videotape is allowed, no restrictions whatsoever. Even when the conductor stopped by to check the tickets, I filmed the moment and nothing was said, except their polite thank you. Best ride ever. Japan a beautiful nation. Highly recommended.
