Many years ago the trio of this Sousa march (start at 1:15) was the theme song of the New York Yankees post game television show hosted by "Red" Barber, the great announcer. I watched it many times as a boy. It wasn't until years later that I realized he chose this march because he was a proud southerner.
Great performance - particularly for old guys wearing fitbits in their rooms! The US President's Own Band, which is great, tends to hit King Cotton too slow for my taste. These guys hit it smack on!
Hormat!!! SAF Respect from Thailand.
I played that piece on the Memorial Day Parade this year in Connecticut.
Fabulous. Never gets old. Well done!
