Barca finished the game in 30 minutes and just chilled like its a training session. Like they are training for the offside trap. But kudos to them, they are keeping an eye on their fitness

I think Yamal was more pissed at his own performance than the fact that he was taken off. He wasn't as sharp today.

I'd honestly play Casado too. Aside from the fact that frenkie seems to be sitting on the fence about his barca career, you're very right in ur submission on their playing style. Keep casado in the first half and ensure the team scores as many goals as possible in the first half while also maintaining defensive balance and bring in frenkie after the break to help just control the tempo of the game and ensure a smooth end of the game with all three points in the bag

with the lamine subs, its great, cos we're winning 3-0 and he's been playing 90mins a lot of games, plus its int break and we know de le fuente is gonna play him 90mins both games and after the break we have so many games in such a short time.
This season barca just take the game away in quick fashion in the first half, firing at all cylinders. And then for the second half they slow the tempo down a bit especially when we're up by 3 or 4 goals. As opposed to last season where we were absolute scheisse for most of the game and in the second half the players woke up and actually tried to do something. As a barca fan i'm living in dreamland. Especially with Gavi, Olmo and Araujo all seemingly returning after the international break.

Fati just needs more minutes, his pace and dribbling are still a bit off but his attacking instinct and technique is still there unlucky to not get a goal and with ferran injured he will play a lot after Bayern and Madrid

As a Barcelona fan I think Casado is not only a better fit for this system he is just a better player than Frenkie, he runs a lot covers a lot of ground defends, actually has iq on when to release the ball doesn't get us in trouble in transitions like Frenkie because of his work rate and connects very well with Pedri and the team in general. Frenkie is also super frustrating with his overcooked through passes he still hasn't improved that aspect of his game. and he needs to stop ball watching and holding onto the ball too long. Frenkie needs to improve to earn his place in this team, no more guaranteed starts here he has to earn it with Casado, eventually gavi coming back soon, Bernal hopefully recovering for next season he better perform this year is all I'm saying or he is getting sold.
They're so enjoyable to watch this season, but they're also currently a reminder of what Madrid are failing to do so it's quite literally bitter sweet💯
We can also play with all of Casado, Pedri and Frenkie. Pedri as the most advanced one, Frenkie collecting from deep and carrying, Casado as the protector
I think Frankie Casado can be a good partnership when Olmo is not on the field.

Curbasi and Martinez have formed an obvious bond so who will Araujo displace. And you are also right about the De Jong theory but I believe player play to coaches to instruction. Even though Frankie is a progressive player, it is the coach's instructions that will determine what he does on the pitch.

He tried to get in the good position by getting in the central zone but fort for some reason didn't fill his position so he had to stay in the winger

Frankie isn’t good as a single pivot but as a double pivot he is good defensively and he is a defensive minded player first but not the press type but more interceptions and reading the game and tracking back type

Not to discredit Barcelona by any means-I respect and admire Hansi Flick's style, and his impact on the team is clear.
However, I can’t help but feel that La Liga sides play extremely poorly against Barcelona.
Take Alavés, for example at Barcelona second goal2️⃣. A defender couldn’t hold possession during their attack, and their last defender made a reckless challenge on Raphinha, exposing the entire defense in Barcelona’s 45-yard zone.
Would an Alavés defender commit like that against Mbappé, Rodrygo, or Vinícius Jr.? Absolutely not-they would have tracked back.
Look at Barcelona’s third goal3️⃣: a simple through ball from Pedri to Lewandowski, who found himself in acres of space between two Alavés defenders.
Compare that to Mbappé’s goal against Alavés, where he had to break through eight defenders-that was world-class.
It’s not that Barcelona is invincible, but La Liga sides seem to underestimate them and leave themselves wide open.
