I remember every woman that has experience horrific domestic violence and abuse. Truth is I don't know of a woman that has not experienced abuse as a result of trying to provide awareness, education or intervention for the the mental health of the man in their life. Perhaps that is why "we" don't look like what we've been through because we've watched the our Mothers and Sisters carry it so well. These lyrics represent each and everyone of them so beautifully. Burned by an off duty firefighter in 09 in a domestic. 💜
This song hits 💯 I think many women struggle with all sorts of situations. But we are told to get over. But somehow we catch our self’s on the bounce. And we smile like nothing happened! I know for me- when my daughter 16 passed in a car accident. It almost destroyed me! But I had to make a decision to choice to live for her. Because I will always save her a seat and she will always be beside me! Big hugs to anyone who struggling!❤

I relate to this song so much. I spent 10 years of my life in treatment facilities. I went through verbal, physical and emotional abuse. I'm currently going through recovery for self harm after 9 years of it, no thanks to the treatment facility for not helping but instead encouraged it.

Today has hurt me deeply as well but I keep believing my time is coming to shine. It's been a lot of climbing up mountains in my personal life, my medical journey and even emotionally.
