This is the closest anyone can get to Ustad Amir Khan's and Kishori Amonkar's rendition of Hansdhuni in this age. Akbar Ali is indeed the reincarnation of most distinguished ustads of their times.
True, I listen to this while working and every once in a while I check to see if youtube has autoplayed to a Ustad Amir Khan rendition. This is great accomplishment at this age.
Bhae akbar khan is disciple of Chacha g mubarak ali khan sb and mubarak khan sb is disciple of Ustad Ameer Khan.........

What a divine voice I have heard.I have met my God Vishnu bhagwan while listening and dreaming such a divine voice though I do not know the things about raga hamsadhwani.
Loved the way Akbar Ali Ji has rendered this Tarana with lots of " Prem Bhav" , Usually Taranas are more pointed but this one has "Bhav" with every bol.

Much of society already respects them. However those who don't need to value them more for their knowledge, skills and life long dedication to their art.

I don't know much about music but one thing I can say. His singing reminds me of Bade Gulam Ali Khan. Such sweet voice....from Australia
Absolutely...his understated subtle elegant and effortless style is similar to Bade saab's...another young singer who reminds of the great man is Ramakant Gaekwad

Akbar Ali’s singing reminds one of AK’s singing, Akbar is the most promising classical singer, far better than other Masteroe’s childrens who can only do acrobatic and fast taans and people clap because of their heritage, they just kill the spirituality of the singing. Salute to The Dream Journey for reviving the authentic music and particulary for this gem👏🏼

This tune, in all respect to Ustad Amir Khan, is a copy of a old Carnatic Ganapati Vandana..... infact Ustadji collaborated with Carnatic musicians of his time to understand their music !!!
Thanks Dream Journey. From the time you started your series I was hoping you will do a recording of this remarkable singer whose music deserves to be preserved and to reach a wider audience. The streets (of Lahore?) add a wonderful backdrop to the music; one can almost smell the food being cooked
Interesting that you mentioned the beautiful backdrops of Lahore. Here is a link of a brief performance. I suspect that some artists came out of the event venue (in Lahore) for a smoke break, some fans followed the esteemed Akbar Ali sb and it may have led to this impromptu performance.
