- La Rota Vicentina, the most beautiful way to explore the Portuguese coast.
To mark the end of 2019 I flew to Portugal to hike the Rota Vicentina historical way and fisherman's trail from Santiago do Cacém to the Lighthouse of Cabo de São Vicente (Farol do Cabo de São Vicente) from December to January.
Starting in Lisbon to prepare, I then took a coach to Santiago do Cacém on the 26th of December 2019 and began my hike which in total would span more than 150 miles over the course of 7 days of hiking, wild camping, eating, sleeping and enjoying sunrises and sunsets every single day.
In this episode, I embark on a 140 miles journey to the lighthouse, starting in Santiago do Cacém and finishing the first day in Cercal do Alentejo
