Imama got a huge change from previous story peer e kamil...I used to like her previous self better. She was so strong and god loving...but now she has completely changed. It's very odd, a girl that fell in love with a person only hearing himself singing naat e rasul now doesn't appreciate a husband who tries his best to be a good muslim and life partner??🥲
Actually even Imama didn't realize that she never loved Jalal, She converted to Islam and that time she saw Jalal who expressed that he loved Islam etc. Though he was not a true Muslim, just like Saad he was a Muslim in just name. But Imama thought if a man loved Our Prophet ( peace be upon him), then he was the right one for her. If Salar had believe in Islam 9 years ago, I'm sure she would choose to live with Salar too. So it wasn't love actually. It was her misconception that Jalal was the right man.
Even though I don't find her annoying, but I didn't like how she kept ignoring the red flag hints of Jalal, she even went to him to be his second wife as she thought Jalal was helpless 9 years ago. I didn't like this kind of misconception.

Considering she lost everything at once and had to run away and hide for 9 years, a person will surely change. People who she thought were her family were forcing her to marry against her will. A man who she thought was evil, somehow became her husband. Fate surely played a big game. She lost her dream. Her passion. She had to hide so no one would find her. Surely a person would change after all this. And both her and him are new to these feelings. It's not like they know what happens. They're working things out. Experiencing life together. That is expressed brilliantly in this book. Some events seem silly, but they make us realise that this isn't entirely fiction.

Agreed,I had even dropped Aab-e-hayat because of this, but now I’m resuming keeping a different mindset. Even tho we have the same characters, it’s still a book, with different morals to give. What Peer-e-Kamil taught us and what Aab-e-Hayat teaches us are two different life topics.Mere khayal me dono kitaabao ku alag mind se hi padha jaye tou samajh kar maze liya jasakta hai.

I don't get one thing why Imama doesn't consider Salar's feelings when she talks about Jalal even though she also doesn't like it when Salar talks with his female colleague who likes him.
