Thanks so much. Your book was the first I read after an initial awakening and it was so helpful. 🙏 I didn’t even know what an awakening was. Tbh I didn’t fully understand everything in your book at the time, but I knew there was something there. After reading a few other authors like Adayashanti and Stephan Bodian, I came across Greg Goode’s book The Direct Path. It outlines many direct inquiry exercises. I had only done some basic direct inquiry on my own, but got stuck and didn’t know where to go. Those exercises helped me see the distinction from arisings and Awareness. And now I am starting to see what you are talking about! 🤯 At least for “me” right now, l’m using it like a true/false check with my very being against my self/world concept and stuck beliefs. If my persona feels indecisive, I do a check with Awareness: is there any indecisiveness here? No. There is nothing here to decide on! And I can really feel in my being that it isn’t a problem. Is there any worry? No worry here. What would there even be to worry about? I have a back and forth like this whenever I can and it’s so freeing and limitless! Of course my day to day is still thought driven, but only after a few days of practicing this I feel it less the case. You are doing important work. Thanks again! ✨

Four days from now, a gorilla shows up on this channel and in Angelo’s voice says: “Remember me telling you to be ok with spontaneity…?”
    Love your videos ❤🙏

Did both the beginning and the end of this get cut off by chance? At the very beginning, you say you’ve been talking “in this way” (which way?) and at 5:18, you mention “the video” (which video?), so we seem to be missing some context.

He talks a lot about not focussing on or obsessing over his words, but rather feeling into the message. He doesn’t really do anything by accident. 😊

@@renko9067 I suppose so but if parts of the message are missing then there’s less there to feel into. And everyone makes mistakes. The last time the end of a video got cut off like this, I pointed it out to him and he said something to the effect of “Ah shoot”. I point it out because if enough of it got cut off, the full version might be worth uploading.

The “pinpointed-ness” that we can attune to, that also contains everything. I can hear the silence here, as it “cuts through” everything :)

I have experienced this non-dual, non-judgmental perceiving though identity keeps coming back and it is like falling asleep into a dream state. Reality is always at a distance of a single thought.

When you talk about “we don’t have to think about where did we come from and where we’re going,” my mind immediately jumps to “Sure, but what if I LOSE some faculties or senses? Then I will be IMPAIRED.”
    I realize it’s just a thought, but it’s a compelling one.
My capacity to appreciate and experience the present seems to be connected to my body and my mind, which seems to be vulnerable to decay and damage, which seems to threaten that capacity…
I realize it’s all thought and it doesn’t really touch the truth of what that experience would be like, but damn if it isn’t compelling!
What it seems to want to convince me of is that my capacity to let go and experience the present comes from my sophisticated powers of perception and thinking, which have led me on this long, convoluted journey to finally be able to let go.
But…I also know that the journey was long BECAUSE of the strength of that very mind, so…
Back to square one, I guess?

This is so helpful and exactly where I’m at. Experiences as far as peak ones…I have let go of thinking about because it really gets you nowhere. I did have one whammer, though where during meditation without medication’s I viewed myself from above and saw that my body was not at all me. I’m kind of surrendering to the fact that unless that fully happens, I’m not really awake so it’s just kind of a waiting game for me at this point. Any thoughts?

Angelo do you point to the feeling of me being aware that's wide, but in the head, the I am sense or to the present moment aka the awareness of the senses. I can stay in both, but where should I direct my attention? I know you may say that put it where it's natural to do so and where you intuit to put it, but this is a method and I need to know where to localize attention, so that it can work it's magic the way it's intended to do so

As the energy levels around an atom get closer and closer together, there comes a point where their closeness becomes important to the quantum uncertainty and they could be in one level or another. It's just a thought but when awake and pointedness. get close enough together! Then..

Presence = me being aware, as in my presence, consciousness? Or presence = present moment?

I'm glad I found this video. My wife convinced me to watch one of your awakening interviews because she had become very interested in awakening. I have been deconstructing my religious upbringing and was hesitant, but did it because she wanted me to understand what she was pursuing. Then she had me read The Power of Now. Everything rang so true to me, truer than anything I had heard before. I started watching videos on my own, and I saw one a few days ago Zubin recorded after his awakening, and I swore it felt like he was talking to me. He said his inquiry was "What am I in between thoughts." It hit me square between the eyes. Yesterday I woke up in the morning and it felt like I was already doing inquiry as my eyes opened, with that question. I went deeper and deeper, stripping everything away until I was nothing...and realized I was also everything. I just sat there in this dawning realization that at a fundamental level I was the same as everything. As my wife got up I told her I felt like I had gotten close enough to touch an awakening, as I was describing my line of thinking I realized I was struggling the way you and others do to articulate it, and wasn't making sense to her. I started to realize that I could feel energy all over my body and my wife said she felt it coming off me, too. Over time it subsided and it's gone now, as is my close proximity to that place of awareness. I definitely know without a doubt that I need to wake up now, and I have no more doubts about it. Thanks for being here to help point me in the right direction.

Thanks for sharing. That’s awesome! I remember being exactly there when this whole news”possibility” opened up within me and somehow clearly beyond me. This is the true spiritual or religious journey that I believe the mystics, sages , figures at the heart of every religion set out upon themselves. They were pointing the way for all of us.

    I definitely feel ,
the genuine and innocent curiosity for clear seeing,
when it comes to observing subtler and subtler thoughts.
Observing these thought forms that define the meaning of each moment; the narrative
It is fascinating to see the meaning of each moment being a mere wisp of smoke, proof! Hqha
