@@AbdulWadoodDRX it’s called a k-brace and they’re usually used to strengthen the chassis of the car, mainly for track use to keep it sturdy around corners, I used it purely for looks but they can be quite useful with track builds

Hi there, had a quick question about the OBD on this car I'm tryna buy a MK4 (the 1.9L TDi diesel 115hp version so not exactly the same as yours) but since I still have to go and see it I was looking around the web for the OBD2 port According to videos it is under the radio, in front of the stick, however I can't seem to find the car's "profile" in the scanning apps I download from the store I wanna use this scanner to check if it gives me any big no-no codes before bothering to get the car to a mechanic, but am worried about this thing not having the MK4 in it's repertoire Have you ever used the port to scan/tune? If so,, was it with bluetooth devices or professional scanners?
@@machetevuoi8026 yes it’s infront of the gear stick at the very bottom, you pull the cover off and it reveals it, I haven’t personally tuned the car from that port but I assume you would be able to put a flash map on it, you can also use that port for code reading, that’s the designated port for reading all the fault codes for the car, almost all devices will recognise the platform but the more sophisticated ones, for example, snap on or VWs own device, will be able to track more codes than your average code reader online, hope this helps🤞🏼
@@MikeJenkins-m6t I don’t know whether you’re in the UK or not but here all you have to do is tell the DVLA (driving license agency) that you have changed the colour of the car and they send you a new logbook/title with the new colour and then just tell you insurance about the mods and it’s perfectly legal
@@MikeJenkins-m6t if it’s the same engine, and just a replacement, no need to say anything, but if it’s different you need to let them know and that’s the same with the turbo, just add it as a modification👍🏻
