  • In this project, I made Resin art sphere. Alcohol ink in resin. I poured alcohol ink into the epoxy resin and mixed it a little. In this DIY, the main thing was that the epoxy resin was thick. Alcohol ink in resin can still be combated - for that you need to know your resin and the basic principles of using the ink in it. To begin with, we drip alcohol ink, and then either smear it with a stick in resin, or leave it in this form, or pour a little transparent epoxy resin on top. The result is a very cool epoxy fill with alcohol ink. In macro photography, he looks just amazing and mesmerizing. Like space or a nebula in space.

    You got my subscription with this one. I'm really a novice with resin. I've been using cheap, high viscosity resin to learn with, so i don't waste too much money learning (i don't sell pieces). But I've kind of hit the wall with the resin being so thick, i can only really use pigments that i completely mix into the resin, for a uniform color. That gets boring as solid color us pretty basic.
    I've found a much better brand of low viscosity 2:1 resin that costs more, but has WAY less bubbles, and i can mix in add-ins without them just floating on top of the resin.
    You have nice techniques, and I'm hoping i can follow some of them without wasting too much expensive resin.
    Thanks again for the tips. Your pieces looks great.

    Your work is amazing! How long do you let the first half cure for before pouring the top half in?

      It all depends on your resin. For me it's 1 day. But 2-3 days is better.

      Thank you very much, I have resin 1:2. Resins are different, so you need to test your own, for your tasks.

    WHat were the types of materials used to remove the crease line, smooth it out then polish it?

      Different videos have different techniques. On some I sand with 500 grit sandpaper and then fill the entire piece with epoxy. Or I just sand with sandpaper, 500,1000,1500,2000, 3000, and polishing paste for shine.

    Why epoxy resin prices are so high?
    Where people can try to start making a small art piece in their home.

    • @ARTtherapyEpoxy
      @ARTtherapyEpoxy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is difficult to say why such prices, it all depends on the manufacturer and country. But you can start small if you like.

      Firms are different, I use Epodex. But you're looking in your country or region, and you need to test it for your needs, many factors, fill thickness, alcohol ink or not, temperature.
