Love this, I'm glad some places in Ft Myers are resiliant. A few months ago you visited the Yucataan in Matlacha. Any word on how it is after the storm?
also from lovers key to the mouth of the north waters . there is a very big oid tree root , used to be filled with every kind of shell imaginable .. and right out front of that tree root about 45 yards ouit in in the water you will find every kind of sea shell imaginable there .. dont know why. but thats sea shell collector haven.. lol now i was there just after irma storm hit. so things may change a little also down south from that in the late spring, adurring the rains, till june, you can find very huge lightening welks alive and breeding there, when i say big im talking over a foot and a half long.. and just before the small sand bar on sea side of the mouth of the banita springs dog beach.. i spent 6 months there displaced by irma in my class c rv. kinda on vacation/ survival style. . im proud to say i gave up rv'ing and now own a big ass beautiful sailboat.. here in treasure island and its doing fine to this day fair winds and following seas... hope to see ya on the waters some day..
holy whales of thunder.. you know how close you are to the REAL beach party place.. man you all, gotta go to Banita Springs Dog Beach Park.. warning!! drastically shallow draft at low tide .. the beach comes and the water leaves.. so leave as the tide does.. and the boaters and dog lovers and its just a few miles if thet from where you are now.. and oh yea.. tell everyone i said stay high and not dry..... fair winds and following seas.....
