Any chance you are going to add some 20 series cards at some point? Its the more available cards for some people but there isn't too many videos or information on them compared to 30 series and 10 / 16 series. Would love to see your thoughts on them and how they compare!

@@KirbyRL i definitely believe the 30's are better in general but they are so much harder to get at a reasonable price. i have a 2080 ti that performs at the same rate as my 3070 non-LHR on ETH so i would love to see more 20's tested out on a few coins and see how they all compare

Cool! Is the 2070 super have the same hashrate of the 3060 ti or 3070 ? Should i buy 2070 super? I think it's time for 2070 super Hashrate test!!

I love how you focus on after Ethereum! Most channels now are still obsessed with Ethereum numbers which is very weird to me. Also I like the criteria of detailed columns of efficiency and dollar per hashrate

I put together a similar chart, and with real world prices all of the 6800 and better AMD cards came out great because you can find them on store shelves at or very near retail prices out where I live, while nVidia cards are all way more expensive.
Ended up jumping on a 3090... but my use-case is different.
First of all, it is going in a normal computer/game rig, and I typically buy a new card every 4-6 years, so this checks all the boxes for a card that should be able to out-pace my usage during that time.
Second, in the midwest my power is only $0.06/kWh, so the cost of having it sit and run at 300W without much efficiency isn't going to make a huge difference in my power bill compared to my other tech that runs 24/7, and the income will far out-strip the extra power costs.
Third, I only plan to use 1 GPU, so having a single more powerful chip that can get as many of whatever coins as possible is more important than having the most efficient offering, or the most cost effective offering.
Fourth is resale value, Next gen chips are around the corner, and if one of them ends up being pretty good at mining, and the overall chip shortage gets a little better, then it may make a lot of sense for me to sell out of the 3090, and buy whatever is next. If the markets get back to normal, then a used 3090 should still command a pretty decent price where I can recoup some of that cost if needed. Heck, I can sell my old gtx 1080 for about what I bought it for 5 years ago now, which is wild... still debating if it makes sense to sell it or mine with it on the side. But higher-end cards keep value longer, where the cheaper cards tend to deflate quite a bit.
But obviously, if I were running a whole farm, or dedicated rigs, then yeah. Efficiency would be key! But a single-card home miner, well, different priorities for different groups. It does make me wonder though... my kiddos have some older computers, and if I can find some at retail price it may make sense to pick them up some new GPUs for their systems. They are just spare parts machines with older 1080p screens, so a 3060 paired with a Pentium anniversary chip, or a 3500k would be a little... miss-matched lol. But if it is just sitting there efficiently mining while not in use, then maybe we can use some of those proceeds to upgrade their machines a bit... at least get them in this decade lol. A good cheap way to fund their habits.

One thing you miss is your spreadsheet is how much each slot costs you on average for your rigs. Once you factor that in, some of the beefier cards will look good. It would be great if you had an update for this for current prices and include a cost/slot factor.

There is something missing in my opinion, the place it takes, not everybody do have large amounts of space available for their mining rigs.
To achieve 720mh/s you only need 6 3090, but you will need over 20 1660ti to achieve the same hashrate.
I'm not saying the 3090 is better than the 1660ti but big hashrate gpu's will be better for some persons in certain situations.
