@@Rand_al_Thor372 nope, dave wrote the kill em all solos and kirk did all the solos from there. the only things mustaine wrote in albums after kill em all were like 4 or 5 riffs
Holy Crap !!! i couldnt pay attention I instantly made devil horns with my fingers on my right hand and started banging my head,, Metallica RULES!! great job.
@Zachary Blatt the fundamentals for speed picking (or speed riffing) is to ensure that all of your fingers are stretched out and that you warm up your wrist before attempting. Also spend at least 15 mins a day practicing "palm muted chugging"
Thanks. You really helped me be able to play those lead parts better by filling in the parts I didn't know. It is a pleasure to hear and watch this guy play!
Hey man I've found that speeding up my tremolo speeds up my straight downpicking as well. Work on some Slayer tunes for a while and then come back to Metallica and you may find it's easier
If anyone can answer me this: Does it matter if I play the muted lower E string with down and up strokes rather than only down strokes? Because i was able to pull the whole song of using down and up strokes pattern at the same tempo, which was hard using only down stroks.
well traditionally james plays this all downstroked, which will give you a deeper fuller sound. buts it all preferance really. i play a mixture of both. mostly down, but ill throw in a couple upstrokes when fatigue sets in
It's a hair band, it helps muting the string and prevent ringing out, it's just for getting a better sound quality, especially when tapping because you can't mute with your right hand, a lot of guitar players use it in the studio. Hope that helps :) (sorry for my english i'm argentinian, but i think you will undertand what i'm trying to say)

It's funny how, somehow, the "badassness" of this song looks even more aparent when played without the singing parts, but maybe that's just me hahhahah

Playing it to slow , but good guitar work
the one part sounds like this PIE BY MY HAND I SEARCH ACROSS THE LAND BAKING PIE PUMPKIN
69 likes... Hello ;)
Better Than KH.
G Novaes says you
It sounds good, but doesn't sound like metallica
maybe it depends on the guitar
mike32131 it depends on the player, never say stupid shit like that
Daniel Chachanashvili you're telling me different guitars don't have different sounds. Obviously people have different playing styles.
yeah he got a bad tone ..
still better then Kirk
ooh no :)
and who's the creator of the solo again?
Arief Priowahono Kirk ;) thanks man
Don't you mean than*
Платон Павлов no, kirk is the fucking genious that wrote this shit, and man, he rarely miss a note
Played too slow
