This tune my old band use to play alot late 80s early 90s bar shows. We had a female singer named Lorainn. One night after our gig we went over portions of the night we recorded. Suddenly I heard something weird we didn't notice while playing. Our singer was saying , For whoma the bell tolls. Like wtf was For Whoma ! still cracks me up
2:40 to 2:42 shows a real metal head. Look how his calm face mutates into an all out METAL HEAD when he smashes the meaner section of the lick, and he can't help it!!! In my eyes, and honest rock star \M/
What I’ve learned is that when a song is very simply arranged and easy to play compared to just the sound, it takes a little away from how awesome that song sounded before I learned to play it. Does that make sense to anyone.
Yea man, because we add more value to the unknown because it is not known; once you know it, it makes sense in the general context of experience, it becomes earthly. But you just have to stop playing it for a while to appreciate it in terms of the sound and its demeanor.
Incorrect interlude harmony. Those notes may be somewhat in there on the record, but no where near what James plays live. He plays a lick that starts in the lower strings and ends high.
Not true. I've seen them play this live, and although James did downpick that part, Kirk clearly did alternate picking. For that kind of riff it would sound almost identical either way. Just a matter of personal preference. But in the actual recording, they do palm mute that part, so it sounds a little different here.
easy solo but umm like ya got an ipad sorry....YOU GOT AN IPAD and metallica like da best and new fuck'in dvd andy james he says like every video THE NEW DVD... THE NEW FUCKIN DVD !!!
No matter how skilled someone is, they have to get their guitar "dialed in" Before they start playing. In this case, it just doesn't sound close enough to how James Hetfield or Kirk Hammond would have their gear set up.

Great player, but Metallica is always down picking in this song, includind the guitar duet. its sounds completely diferent

El solo es bastante distinto al original de Metallica
Perdon, no habia visto completamente el video, al parecer en mi DVD de Lick Library esta misma cancion se toca muy diferente.
sounds flat
Totally false man. James did back in the day but i know Kirk alternate picked

The search criteria included the word "LESSON". You're not TEACHING anything, just playing.
